The WiiM Mini is a small and highly versatile online player, ideal for converting a conventional audio system into a connected system.
It allows you to play music remotely via WiFi, Airplay 2, or Bluetooth 5.0.
The term "Bit-perfect" is commonly used in audio playback to describe a player that can reproduce a file without alterations. For example, if the player plays a Hi-Res 24bit/192kHz file, the digital output will offer 24bit/192kHz. Likewise, if the music file is 16Bit/44.1kHz, the digital output will provide 16Bit/44.1kHz, with no modifications whatsoever.
The WiiM Mini supports Apple AirPlay2 wireless transmission protocol, allowing you to easily play your music from an Apple device, as well as stream it to multiple devices simultaneously.
It is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple Siri voice assistants, enabling you to control it easily with your voice.
The built-in multiroom function of the WiiM Mini allows you to play music throughout your home in 3 different modes. If you are using an Apple product, you can use Airplay 2 to set up your multiroom system. If you are using an Amazon product, you can utilize AVS Multiroom technology.
WiiM also offers an app to easily control your multiroom setup from your smartphone.
The WiiM Mini is compatible with many streaming services and online radio stations, such as Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, Deezer, Amazon Music, or TuneIn.
You can enjoy your favorite music services and stream them wirelessly to your audio system. Additionally, it features an analog input for connecting other audio devices.
With the WiiM Mini, you can play music directly from the Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect streaming services, without using the WiiM Home app.
WiiM offers the free WiiM Home app for iOS and Android for easy control of all connected WiiM devices.

a small miracle.... does many things (equaliser) and mainly streams correctly and seamlessly! an audio device that will fit into any system. It has nothing to envy from more expensive devices, provided that we connect it with an external DAC because its own is just okay... although this is something that will depend on the system it will be called to play. Perfect streaming from laptop/mobile iPhone or Android. It definitely needs a DAC to enjoy its sound. Very easy initial setup and the application has a very useful EQ that is handy. Did you find this review helpful?I only have positive words for this little device! I have connected it to a pair of active speakers through the 3.5mm output, streaming Tidal, and I am thrilled. The accompanying app is really, really good. It truly solves your hands-on issues with Spotify and TuneIn. It takes a little getting used to with Tidal, but the sound quality compensates for it. The EQ it has is exceptional and helps you bring the speakers exactly where you want them. I believe that for anyone who has an old amplifier that is showing its age, this is the way to go, always taking into account the cost of acquisition.

Did you find this review helpful?The only thing that initially gave me trouble was getting it to show up on the network and be recognized by the Spotify app. It was quickly resolved without me fully understanding how!! Maybe it just needed time for all the devices on the network to see it. Either way, this only bothered me once. That's the only observation I have.
Other than that, what can I say!!!
Spotify connect, Tidal connect (something that not all devices that play Tidal have), internet radio.
10-band equalizer and mainly optical output. You connect it to an external DAC and... that's it. You stream Tidal and listen to CD-quality sound (and above), as HiFi as the DAC and the rest of your system allows.
Bit perfect, plays up to 192/24, gapless playback, easily plays files from the local network, has a very nice app, and many other features, with continuous software updates.It doesn't have Chromecast, but I didn't miss it.
I didn't use the built-in DAC at all. I read that it's average. I would say it depends on what system you connect it to. If you connect it to a system worth over 500 euros, I would suggest considering an external DAC as well. If you want to use the line output, it's better to go for one of its bigger siblings (Wiim pro or Wiim pro plus).Compared to the Chromecast Audio, which I also have, the difference is small through the optical output and in my opinion, in favor of the Wiim mini. I didn't compare the line outputs. I clearly prefer the Wiim mini.
The package of capabilities, flexibility, and ease of use is unbeatable for its price.
By playing around with the power supply (I use a mobile charger), I can hear a difference when using a better charger (in a system with a DAC, amplifier, and speakers in the range of 3000). At some point, I might try a better power supply.
