Description

The Globus Ami Pro muscle stimulator is a device for the treatment of dysphagia by promoting muscle nutrition and improving neuromuscular sensitivity with the aim of retraining the muscles involved in swallowing.

This equipment is a non-invasive neuromuscular electrical stimulation system that operates through square waves, following the guidelines of the main scientific elements currently available in the scientific literature.

The use of this device is intended exclusively for authorized medical or healthcare personnel (physiotherapists, speech therapists) or the user if they have a medical prescription.

The Ami Pro includes different motor stimulation programs, sensory-motor and sensory targets, which are recommended with different parameters to allow for the most appropriate choice of work cycle. It also features various facial rehabilitation programs and customizable programs for adaptation to the therapeutic needs of the professional.

Action Now Function

The Ami Pro features the exclusive "Action Now" function that allows stimulation only when desired by the operator or the patient. By pressing the "Action Now" button on the device, it is possible to synchronize muscle activation with voluntary swallowing by the patient, making it a self-feedback system for all purposes.

Programs:

  • Dysphagia Programs 1 - 3: The parameters are constant, not variable.
  • Dysphagia Programs 2 - 36: With fixed and non-adjustable parameters, divided into different types of work cycles (work-rest time ratio).
  • Dysphagia Programs 3 - 5: The Dysphagia 3 range includes the Action Now programs. These programs are characterized by the fact that each contraction starts only after the user holds down the button.
  • The ACTION NOW programs are particularly useful for the ability to correlate and synchronize electrical stimulation with a voluntary action.
  • Adjustable - 36 programs: Programs with adjustable parameters: Work cycle (work-rest time ratio), treatment duration (30-45-60 minutes), pulse width, frequency, and total duration.
  • Facial - 20 programs: The list of facial programs includes a total of 20 divided (Standard, Advanced, Action Now).
