It is fleece, so while it is warm, because it is very wide, it lets out some heat, but it is convenient that it is wide because it goes over other tops. Just the huggle without heating is not enough for warmth; it is like a fleece hoodie that covers the whole body. With heating, it is just fine. The hood is a bit annoying because it pulls down, and while there is a large opening at the neck, it kind of chokes me. The blanket is very soft and perfect for sleeping.
