Coming from Xiaomi. I wanted a small phone and the battery disappointed me. Nevertheless, very good as you would expect from a flagship, everything works perfectly and quickly, with the exception of very rare "stutters" (they can't be compared to the daily stutters in Xiaomi, etc., it's just once in a while, I mention it simply, it's not "perfect"). I have nothing else to say, everything is at the quality you expect, comparable to iPhone. Overall, a very good phone but only if you get it cheap otherwise iPhone :)
The phone is amazing, it's good at everything. It doesn't take the best photos, but it won't disappoint either; beyond that, it's a phone that does everything well, unlike many others that may just take good photos and that's it. Also, the software is top-notch. The battery lasts comfortably for a day.
1 year in my hands with this specific model. There is absolutely nothing negative about this perfect phone..I wouldn't change it for anything
After a year of use, it has not had the slightest glitch and the battery is at 95%. At the price it is offered, it might even be worth more than the s24 due to the Snapdragon, as in all other specs they are pretty much the same. Also, a positive is that it will receive the next major updates for several years and has all the high-end specs (e.g., 96hz audio) just like the next models.
Photos and videos are not as good as the S20, even though it is newer. For Samsung, the battery lasts well, of course, with energy-saving mode, a day + without games
Coming from my S10plus, it feels like a natural continuation in a more convenient size, more modern. Very satisfied, don't be alarmed if you hear a sound like something is loose when you shake the device, it's the lens that moves (a bit annoying but nothing major).
Very good phone for the price it has at the moment and for someone who wants a compact device with good specs.
(+) screen, speed, size, zoom, does not overheat like older flagships (only in summer but due to external temperature).
(-) the fingerprint (the position is annoying, 7 out of 10 times it doesn't work) and the face recognition (works in good lighting conditions, 5 out of 10 times it doesn't work or takes some extra seconds which makes you press the fingerprint, it doesn't work either and ultimately you end up entering your code traditionally like in 2017). The camera is not as good as I expected, in good lighting conditions for taking landscapes/portraits it's fine, but for close-up shots (e.g. food, documents, etc.) you see grains and the focus is not good. I rarely take videos but it has very good stabilization, it hasn't disappointed me. The battery barely lasts a day with normal use, but a power bank has never hurt anyone.
I've had it for almost a year and it has left me satisfied but I don't think it's worth the price.
P.S. The camera definitely doesn't reach iPhone levels (not even the basic models) and capturing the moon is indeed impressive so close (with quite a bit of AI), but come on, how many times can you take it?
I got the 128gb green one.
For me, it's beautiful! Quite satisfied with the camera, sound, screen, and it really surprised me a lot! (it even runs ps2 games legally always!)
The only negatives I believe so far:
It doesn't have a headphone jack (only a usb type C port) and instead of a memory card slot, it has two sim slots.
The battery, because I listen to music at work (with Bluetooth, wifi, etc.), drops from 100 to around 30 in 8 hours.
I will only talk about the negatives: it does not have good facial recognition and fingerprint recognition for its category. It lags in video quality during night shots like most others, and its battery is mediocre (expected for its size). It has experienced a few freezes and once overheated significantly. Overall, for its price (I don't mean the price from large chains obviously)... it is a good phone to meet most users' needs!
In 1 year of operation, it showed ghosting at the top of the screen. Unfortunately, it is not the first Galaxy of mine that has shown this (and the S6).
Owner for almost two months, the only negative essentially is its battery. With energy saving on and moderate usage, it easily lasts a day +. Otherwise, it's amazing.
Very beautiful and elegant device. It also seems to have very good build quality. It has fallen several times and hasn't suffered the slightest damage (with a simple silicone case). It is quite fast. The camera during the day is excellent and at night it is quite satisfactory. The only negative I would say is the battery life since with moderate use I often run out of battery by the afternoon even though I have had the phone for only 5 months... Nevertheless, it charges incredibly fast!
I have had the phone for about 2 months now. Coming from the Galaxy Note 9, which for me is one of the best phones, maybe even in the top 5 that have ever been released. It was time to change it. After searching and reading statistics and reviews, I have to say that it is a very good and reliable phone so far, both for calls and gaming and browsing the internet and for its photos. The battery easily lasts me a day; with the previous one, I was with the charger in hand every 3 hours. A very good choice for someone who wants to buy an S series and not spend a fortune.
I have owned this particular mobile phone for about 13 days now. It is used, almost 5 months old, and was purchased from a second-hand mobile store. I will try to be as objective as possible. I note that I was the owner of a Huawei P9 Lite and then a Redmi Note 8 Pro.
Note: I consider myself a medium to demanding user (browsing, social media, photos whenever needed, etc.).
On the positive side:
1) SCREEN: Very good screen (color and brightness). I have never had a mobile phone with an AMOLED screen, so the difference is impressive. Reading in the sun in July is comfortable at 50-70% of maximum manual brightness (I do not use Adaptive Brightness because I think it is not necessary).
2) CAMERA: Here there is a big difference compared to the phones I was used to. Of course, the Huawei P9 Lite had amazing capabilities for its time... Still incomparable though. Very good main, ultra-wide, and telephoto camera. Samsung actually uses software to process photos to produce more vivid images with intense colors. It satisfies me fully. Clear, of course, I imagine not to the level of Ultra phones or top models, but still fully meets my requirements. Zoom is very good up to X10-15 for use on social media, it does an excellent job at night. I want to work with it more before drawing final conclusions, but it is incredible that I can now take photos in demanding scenarios without fear. The software and features it offers are incredible (Expert RAW, Pro mode, Night photo, Time/Hyperlapse, Slow motion, Food, etc.)!
3) VIDEO: Resolution up to 8K at 30 FPS and all previous resolutions! Excellent stabilization, very clear videos, and the ability for "Professional Video" which, like the Pro mode of photography, allows you to adjust ISO, Focus, Shutter speed, etc... I am experiencing this for the first time, so I think it will do a very good job! At night, it is very good, do not expect it to turn night into day, but it will leave you satisfied I think.
4) SOFTWARE: I had never had a Samsung phone, so I did not know what to expect... I am impressed with how many features it offers, and I have not discovered all of them yet! Positive that it will receive upgrades up to Android 17 (if I remember correctly), which means that, if all goes well, it will last for another 5-6 years (battery and performance permitting!).
5) QUALITY: Overall, very good quality materials, light in hand, and very convenient size. Holding the Redmi Note 8 Pro, I notice the difference... I wonder how I held the previous phone. It is not difficult to read text or watch videos (26 years old). Surely a larger screen might have been an advantage, but it does not bother me at all! It fits easily in the pocket, feels good in the hand, and I am not afraid it will fall when I move and hold it in my hand. Super light!
6) FINGERPRINT: Relatively fast, under the screen, not as fast as the Xiaomi one that was on the back of the device. Nevertheless, it has not annoyed me in anything. Note: Screen protector affects it and requires a little more time (half a second let's say more) and a little more pressure.
In "probably positive, maybe negative for some":
1) BATTERY: I consider it very satisfactory for my use! It gives me about 3.30-3.45 hours (I have seen up to 4 hours) of active screen time having consumed 50%. So at 100% usage it will easily last 7-7.30 hours. I should note that I have the following settings: manual brightness usually below 50%, dark theme, screen refresh rate at 60 Hz in all applications except Chrome where I have set it to automatically be 120 Hz (the difference in my eyes is not so dramatic, for some reason the 60 Hz on the S23 is much smoother than the 60 Hz on Xiaomi), I usually charge the battery from 30-80% for better long-term health, I have set the "light" performance profile that emphasizes cooling and low battery consumption. I mainly use WiFi, Bluetooth off, GPS off, mobile data rarely and only when I don't have WiFi signal. The mobile signal in the area and at my home is not very good (almost non-existent) so keep that in mind. I have made these concessions because at the end of the day I need to make video calls for a few hours (2+), so I want to have as much battery as possible. [If there is someone who also makes video calls with Instagram, with a good WiFi signal, it burns about 1% every 3-4 minutes. So around 15-20% per hour. Maybe the S23+ would have been a more correct choice for this type of use]. Otherwise, I would leave everything at maximum. I usually charge it 1-2 times a day from 30-80% and again IF needed at the same percentages. However, I have not been afraid of running out of battery, which was my fear. Of course, its endurance needs to be proven. On the negative side, I might add that I have made these specific concessions and that I always have the battery issue in the back of my mind. It is not the highest capacity, so it worries you somewhat. For its size, summarizing, it is satisfactory.
2) SPEAKERS: Nothing special in my opinion... Comparing video playback on YouTube with Xiaomi, the difference towards the better stereo speakers of the S23 is noticeable, but not a huge difference. I expected something better, but maybe the specific platform is to blame (?).
3) CHARGING: Related to the battery, it does not charge as fast as other companies. Charger not included (a big negative considering the price) but I can use the existing Xiaomi one, which charges at 15 or 18W I think and I have not encountered any problems. I always have a Power Bank with me for the more demanding days, but I emphasize again that I charge the phone up to 80% and discharge it strictly to 30-20%. So practically I lose a percentage of 40-50% per charge... If it was from 10% to 100% I wouldn't have it with me.
4) TEMPERATURES: It does not increase temperatures significantly, but it will warm up depending on use. Yes, in the sun in July with 38-40° and outdoor use of the phone or in the car where it is already boiling, it will warm up more and I will feel it in my hand. Indoors, I have not noticed anything to worry about. Of course, using energy-intensive applications (video, camera, video calls) increases the temperature. The Xiaomi raised temperatures in video calls more than the S23.
5) PROCESSOR: Very fast. Although the Redmi Note 8 Pro almost never lagged anywhere, with this one the difference between a "mid-range" and a "flagship" is evident. Holding the old phone, I feel that it is quite slow. The differences are minimal but still noticeable! You won't notice it unless you put them side by side...
Negatives:
1) PRICE: I do not think that 1 year later its value should be €560 on Skroutz. Overall, I am a person who will not look at something expensive, and in the end, we are talking about a mobile phone. Definitely the quality and what it offers are worth it at this price and put you in the game of flagship devices, but again we are talking about a mobile phone. Prices have gone up in everything and times are tough to spend a salary on a mobile phone. There are more important things to spend our money on. I chose this one because of the good price I found it used. Otherwise, I was considering it for a month before I ended up with the S23 (I was looking at the S23 FE before, which was a bit cheaper, but with Exynos I would never end up there). I said "I will spend money to get a good mobile phone" and I did to see where it will take me.
In summary... I am satisfied with the mobile phone and whether I will continue to be satisfied, time will tell. Since I have never owned a good mobile phone, it seems like a big leap from the previous ones I had. At this price, I would think about it ten times over. Most mobile phones nowadays that are worth it are over 500€, which is worrying because 4-5 years ago you could get a good mobile phone with decent features that gave you 90% of the flagship experience for 300€. However, I definitely put a positive mark on making this purchase.
*UPDATE: The battery, as you will see in the 2nd screenshot, lasts for about 4.30 hours of active screen time, with 3 hours on Chrome. Exceptional, I would say!
Perfect phone with satisfactory battery life. Without gaming but with plenty of calls, photos, and lots of videos, mainly on YouTube, it easily lasts the day and has about 20%-25% left at night.
Its screen is very bright, even under intense sunlight I didn't encounter any problems, even while wearing glasses.
Its cameras are excellent, definitely not at the level of Ultra phones, but I believe they will satisfy the average user.
Now, as for performance, I don't have much to comment on since the phone has Snapdragon 8 gen 2. Everything runs instantly!
For those who want a compact phone that combines everything to some extent, I think it is an ideal choice.
Coming from the Zflip 4, which left me with a bitter taste in my mouth due to Samsung's technical support, I decided to switch back to the S series with the aim of having a better user experience, meaning better software and photos at a relatively okay budget, while sticking with Samsung.
The S series is renowned for its exceptional photos (being the predecessor of the S20fe before the Flip), with details that surprised me, especially in low-light shots, both in selfies and regular photos.
It is a small and lightweight device with a comfortable grip in the hand. Personally, I got used to the small size of the Flip and I can't handle big phones.
The fingerprint sensor on the screen with active sensitivity and protective glass is fine.
Its battery is also very good for the usage I have (social media and calls), I charge it every two or three days max.
The software runs smoothly with the Snapdragon, which was one of the reasons I chose the S23 over the S24.
The speaker seemed a bit worse than the Flip, but that's a minor detail, it may just be my perception.
Overall, it currently offers very nice features and quality.
Exactly what I expected from a phone of this category.
I hope it lasts for me.

Good phone, I expected it to be better. Its price is high for what it does but it is one of the few good phones in this size.
I have had this mobile phone since the day it was released! It won't freeze on you, no need for any restarts and such silly things that become annoying in Chinese phones no matter how good the value for money is! Truly the best mobile phone with a good camera, ideal size, and gives you a sense of durability! Maybe for my next device, I will go for the 24 ultra, but I'm afraid of the size
The pit 2024. Much better model than the s24 due to the snapDragon. The change was made from S20 where the screen broke. It is small and convenient like all simple S models. If you charge the battery up to 80%, it doesn't last for a day for any reason.
The fingerprint sensor is much better than that of the S20.
The only major negative is that it does not have extra storage space. But there is no other phone in its price range that gives you what a Samsung simple S series phone gives you in a lifetime.
For its price in 2024 (600€), it is top-notch, maybe even better than the s24 due to the Snapdragon, and better than the basic iPhone models (14,15) for me. It's worth every last euro, we're talking about excellence.
The battery could be better. Also, it heats up quite a bit in some cases (e.g. Wireless android auto). Otherwise, fast, good camera not so much at night though, user-friendly operating system with many options.
Awesome mobile. For those who want a small-sized device, they should hurry up and get it. I had the S9, which is obviously a very good mobile, and after several years, it is the only reliable one I found in this size.
1 star because I can't give it 0 stars. What's the point of having a phone with such features (and such a cost) if the battery only lasts 8 hours with moderate use. 8 HOURS! From day one! To start your day and have a dead battery by the end. The phone should come with a power supply. Also, the phone overheats to the point where you can't even hold it after a while. It's a good idea to get oven gloves to hold it. This is the first time I rate a product because I'm truly furious with this UNACCEPTABLE PHONE. Avoid it
A device purchased through subsidy in April 2023 from Nova with a generous subsidy on an Unlimited All contract. It cost me €510, a very good price for what the device offers. It is owned by my father, who comes from cheap XIAOMI android devices and the main mobile he had before this was a Pocophone F1.
It is a very fast mobile, a work tool. No issues with calls, satisfactory battery, easily lasts a day with data and email, messaging, browsing & basic apps synchronization.
The camera is impeccable in image and video, on par with iPhone 13 & 14 Pro that I have. It receives software and security updates immediately, the main reason I chose Samsung and especially the Galaxy S series.
Also, an important advantage I will mention is the size. A mobile that fits in your pocket, not a brick in your hands, you can easily handle it with one hand. I prefer it over the S24 due to the Snapdragon processor, as the s22 and s24 are with Exynos in Europe.
I got it in May 2024 for around €500. I am very satisfied as I did not want any Chinese brand and the best choice would have been the iPhone 13 pro refurbished for the same money. I didn't want refurbished and I got a relatively recent phone from 2023 that doesn't have crazy differences with this year's s24. My previous phone was 5 years old and I saw huge differences in every area
Very good mobile phone.. very good photos, good zoom and very nice resolution... definitely worth its money... the battery surprised me as it lasts for three days with moderate use... with full use, I assume it will last for a full day for sure... charging is very fast, almost one hour from 1 to 100 percent.
I have bought the mobile phone a month ago. Very good photos even at night, excellent video resolution. Quite a fast mobile phone, convenient to hold due to its small size and very good decision by Samsung to let you download the package with the AI functions. Finally, its only negative is the battery, I would like it to have a slightly longer duration, personally it lasts me 1 day with moderate use.
I have had the chance to use it as a work phone alongside my personal iPhone 12. Since we are talking about a €600 mobile phone, I will say that although it has overall very good features and a very good battery unlike iPhones that have battery issues, I wouldn't say that I would buy it if I had the choice. And that's because:
Face ID easily doesn't recognize the face if, for example, I haven't sat in very good lighting and without scarves hiding me, etc. And for some reason that I don't understand, it frequently makes me enter the passcode instead of Face ID.
The camera of the iPhone continues to be better.
The Samsung hotspot freezes more often than the iPhone's, and I say this because I permanently use the Samsung as a hotspot instead of paying for internet on my personal phone. I used to regularly use the iPhone as a hotspot before, and I see the noticeable difference.
The iPhone has resale value, the Samsung doesn't have as much.
But the worst part: if I let it shut down due to battery, there have been times when I plug it in and it takes even 1 hour to turn on, which I consider UNACCEPTABLE for this price.

I believe that if I am going to spend €400 on a mobile phone, I might as well go for an iPhone. Spending €600 now and encountering such problems really bothers me.
Within a few days, this review received 30 negative evaluations. So many people are dealing with this phone within 72 hours? Could it be that Samsung employees have entered and are doing "biased reviews"? I'm just assuming... because I have never been an iPhone user, but maybe I should become one(?).
