The AXAGON PCEM2-ND PCI-Express controller allows the connection of two M.2 SSDs to a desktop computer and supports RAID functionality. The high-quality development, compact dimensions, and thoughtful design make the adapter ideal for upgrading desktop computers that are not equipped with an M.2 slot. It is compatible with any motherboard and works on motherboards without PCI-Express bifurcation support.

The PCI-Express 3.0 interface enables maximum transfer speeds of up to 4000 MB/s (4 GB/s). The adapter supports NVMe (PCI-Express) M.2 SSDs, single and double-sided, with a size of up to 22x110 mm. The packaging includes a low-profile bracket for installation in low-height cases, and the card features an integrated PCI-Express slot lock.

The adapter supports SW RAID, allowing the use of suitable software to set up RAID 1, which offers data protection through mirroring. The chip is cooled by a passive heatsink, and heatsinks up to 22 mm wide can be used to cool the M.2 units. Features such as Full Plug and Play support and the ability to boot from the SSD card add flexibility to its use.
