It's not the fastest, and it couldn't be with the price it has. I filled it with multimedia files, and the transfer speeds ranged from 30 to 80; of course, the emptier it is, the faster it copies. Relatively quiet for an external HDD.
It's the most affordable on the market, and for that alone, I consider it a decent option for storage and file transfer.
I've had it for a week, and I can't judge its durability over time.
perfect is the best word I can think of to describe it but a warning when I took it out and saw the whole of the wire that goes in to it I thought it was broken cuz I was like that wire whole that connects to it is weirdly shaped and I thought that it was defective/broken and then I saw the wire and I was like oh no it's supposed to look like that almost had a heart attack of that so like be warned about that
I bought it in November 2024, it was used less than 10 times, and after 1 month I connected it to the computer, it didn't show how many GB it has, it disconnected from disk management on its own, it can't be formatted, and now it gives me a circular redundancy error, and whenever I connect it, the computer freezes (tested on 5 computers)
Used on 3 TOSHIBA Laptops from 2006, 2007, and 2012, all 3 with Windows 7, and it worked perfectly, although it mentioned in the specifications that it is compatible with Windows 11, 10, and 8.1.
In the first 15 days of use, it broke down.... I tried to recover the few files I had saved, but I couldn't. I tried to format it, nothing.... The only comforting thing is that it is under warranty....
value for money, a storage medium that lets you sleep peacefully, its speed is just enough ...buttttt. you don't lose anything from this drive

Shameful (IT DOES NOT HAVE SATA), it has the USB port integrated on the disk (See photos).
If something goes wrong and you need to put the disk in another SATA to USB enclosure to retrieve data, then... cry, Haralambos.

Average fast disk, which however does not support UASP, which can now be found even in cheap enclosures. Also, from what I found with a search, the USB port is directly on its board, meaning that it does not use a converter to SATA. This means that there is no possibility to remove it from the enclosure and connect it to a computer or dock with SATA.
So far so good.

The only truly reliable external hard drive. I have about 10 (2018 and 2022), I have literally torn them apart and I have not encountered any problems with any of them. I started buying Toshiba drives, disappointed by the performance and durability of others, which many consider top-notch (I wonder why), such as WD...
Although I haven't had it for about a month, I bought it to connect it to an Xbox Series S and transfer some games that are NOT optimized for X/S... Transferred 100 gigabytes in 35 minutes at a speed of 500-600mbps.. Honest for the price, its lifespan will show.
After a very good experience with the 500GB hard drive from the same company, I decided to buy a 1TB one.
Everything has been fine for almost a month since I got the hard drive. I have transferred all the data from my other devices and hard drives, and I now use them for other tasks, and I have deleted some files so that I don't have them two or three times.
I have put my whole life and work on this disk! Thank God, however, I did NOT delete all the data from the other hard drives/devices.
Suddenly today, 15/05/24, I plug in the hard drive AND IT DOESN'T READ IT!!!! I have done everything, disconnected it, reconnected it, tried, changed the outlet, restarted the laptop, turned it off, let some minutes pass, again and again and again. At some point, it read it! However, it showed my files as corrupted!!! It couldn't open them!!!
I have had multiple brain freezes and I can't digest that I spent almost 3 days organizing all my data on this hard drive, deleting some data from my old devices!!!!
For almost half a day, the hard drive was useless! It made noises and mysterious sounds, and generally, I thought it was on its last breath.... At some point after HOURS! I stopped. I was now sure that I had lost everything.
I gathered my pieces, said a Thank God, and thought about having health, but until the evening, it was my only thought. What I lost and from which devices...
In the evening, without any hope, and just for the hell of it,... I plugged it back in... On the same laptop, in the same port, in the same outlet...
ALL GOOD!!! I started opening files one by one... Everything was intact! I took the old 500GB Toshiba, formatted it, and transferred all the data.
The 1TB is now functioning normally. But my trust has been lost forever...
It might have been a hardware failure... which in the end succeeded?
Honestly, I don't know what happened.

Excellent choice and it is HDD and not SSD where some write that it is slow. It is logical. It writes 30GB in 30 minutes. Perfect.
It is very good, and in terms of capacity, I use it to transfer photos and videos from my phone to the computer. It is not as fast in transferring, but that's how HDDs are, but it is worth its money. I recommend it IF you don't mind the slow file transfer
Good, fast, small external size, completely silent. The cons are the short cable length (I also use it on a desktop) and the fact that the disk connection port is not Universal (e.g. USB type C), it is Toshiba's. And to make it even worse, with a quick search, I couldn't find a replacement cable, if needed. So... be careful with the cable.
So far it seems very reliable. There is no issue, it has served me well. I would like it to be faster, but it's okay, we can't have it all.
