Excellent for video games. Overall, I bought it for gaming at 1080p with a high refresh rate on a screen that supports 300hz.

The temperatures on the processor (13700k) reach a maximum of 80c in Cyberpunk 2077 with Ray Tracing Ultra at 1080p. So it runs well even under demanding workloads at a good temperature level based on Intel spec. The fans on top are of good quality from Cooler Master, they do their job well and don't produce any annoying noise that I noticed in Cyberpunk 2077.

I connected the NUC with a 4070 FE because it is a good card in terms of power consumption for a small form factor. (Alternatively, I would have used the Asus TUF 4070 or similar) Plus, I wanted access to DLSS and Frame Generation.

Just a little attention is needed as you have to install RAM and SSDs since it comes without them. One M2 slot is Gen5 while the other two are Gen4 through the PCH.

Also, you need to purchase Windows. The installation process is quite straightforward (which is good in my opinion). I recommend preparing a USB stick with the network/wireless drivers because during the installation of Windows 11, you will need to perform the Shift+F10 process and enter the CMD with the command OOBE\BYPASSNRO in order to proceed with the installation without network/wireless drivers.

Windows will install the Intel Driver & Support Assistant, which will install any necessary drivers and BIOS updates. It had the latest BIOS out of the box based on the manufacturing date from the factory (Jan. 2023). I didn't have any issues with the driver assistant or the NUC Software Studio.

I also recommend reading the manual when installing/maintaining the NUC. I note that the attached benchmarks were performed after a full installation of Windows 11 Pro, updates, drivers, and antivirus.

In the end, the price of the NUC itself is competitive in terms of build quality in today's standards, in my opinion.

Detailed information for the Final Fantasy 14 benchmark:
    Score: 31089
    Average Frame Rate: 221.6495
    Minimum Frame Rate: 87
    Graphics Presets: Maximum

    * According to Intel spec, the CPU throttles at 100c for the 13700k as shown on Intel Ark, and 80c is a safe temperature based on the spec and what I saw on the official Intel forum, where support responded to a thread about the 13700k.
