I haven't had the luck to have it for myself, but I was fortunate enough to try it from a friend. Without exaggeration, you forget that you're wearing a helmet; you feel exposed. The weight is nothing, perfect balance. Noise with the visor open up to 150 was manageable, and as soon as you close it, it just seals and you hear nothing. It will definitely be my future helmet
A fanatical supporter of SHOEI, as I trust it for reliability and safety! Upgrade from the XR-1100. Perhaps one of the best helmets on the market. Ergonomic, particularly lightweight, and reliable. When you move at high speed and turn your head, you don't feel the side wind hitting you like with inferior helmets.
Quite lightweight and reliable. It gives me the sense of security I need, especially on "long rides." Cool, I always wear it with a balaclava and, especially in the summer, I have no issues with heat. No aerodynamic noise at all, minimal after a certain speed, but with earplugs, it doesn't bother me at all. If I want to find a negative, when you have the vents open at the top, you feel a pull at a certain speed and above, personally it doesn't bother me because even with the vents closed it doesn't make me hot, so I don't open them.
Very high-quality helmet without much noise.
It really hugs the head without feeling the weight at all.
The chin strap could have a better fit because there is a risk of it coming off in some cases.
The air vents are great and with enough heat, you don't feel the outside temperatures.
In any case, it's worth the money and coming from AGV there is no going back or even comparison.
After 100 km and without the chin curtain, my eyes tear up from the air entering the helmet. With the chin curtain, it's much better but the sunglasses or prescription glasses fog up at low speeds. I don't think it's the fault of this specific helmet though. Otherwise, it's not a best seller for no reason...
I agree with all the previous comments,
Except for the unacceptable quality of the interior...
I have bought it and use it daily as a distributor and did not expect it to have this unjustifiable wear.
For a walk it may be good, but I consider a product at such a price, judged comprehensively from daily use and is ultimately worse than a helmet of 40€.
Maybe the best I've ever had and I've been a rider since 1974.
It's like wearing nothing in terms of weight. Of course, I'm lucky as a sailor
to buy them from Japan where they cost $250 on sale.
It's worth the money.
Unfortunately, I was not satisfied because the helmet with the closed and secured visor lets in air, has excessive noise even at low speeds (80 km/h), and the paint and materials smelled excessively during the first few days of use. On the positive side, it has great visibility, a very good anti-fog membrane, and air vents.
Beautiful, high-quality construction and relatively quiet. Unfortunately, its windshield does not seal well. It lets in a lot of air right in front of the nose from 50km/h and above, even after adjustment. Desperate situation in cold weather.
Tested on a national road with long hours of driving, but also at high speeds. It has minimal air noise and very good aerodynamics! I have had it for over 1 year and it has saved me. It is better to try it up close and choose the right size
With the pin lock, I found them a bit dark and I broke the first one. I bought 2 and so far everything is good, although it also fogged up. I never had a problem with pin lock on other helmets. Combined with the photochromic visor, it's awesome.
What can I say about the nxr2.. it truly is the best all-round helmet out there. It's suitable for everything. The only thing I would like it to have as an extra is a small visor that can easily be inserted and removed for sunny days. Other than that, it's perfect
Very good helmet, I recommend it! I also put a GoPro on top. https://enalio.etsy.com/listing/1590454105
As for quality, it has good materials. Beautiful shape and colors. But I started for a ride and after 25 minutes of driving, I felt uncomfortable and stopped to take off the helmet to get some air. The outside temperature was 25 degrees and I wondered if the vents were working even though I had them all open. My head was sweating. Measured for a medium size, the fit was very tight. As a result, I had to press several points of the inner shell to be able to bring it to the correct fit.
I have it for 2 months, perfect fit (I wear glasses), perfect visibility, terrible noise from 80 to 100 km/h. With all the vents open (with nose and chin curtain), the helmet gets wet on the forehead. They say it's anti-sweat, of course it dries in 10 minutes, but it's nothing like the rpha 11 I have.
Comparison to the previous hjc is17 helmet, one category below
Compact and lightweight (small)
Good ventilation with the rear vent permanently open for hygiene reasons, summer will show if it is excellent
Very good materials and feel inside the helmet
Stable with good aerodynamics and balance, no pressure felt in any area.
Visibility, here I think it's everything for me, panoramic view doesn't obstruct your vision at all, if you ride with a bent posture or with clip ons you will greatly appreciate it, very good job in this area then
The button for visor opening has also been transferred to the front of the nxr2 now
Aerodynamic noises, here I expected better results, it's not quiet, there is a moderate sound inside.
Also, when you turn your head left or right, there is a slight sound there too, I don't know if it's from the pins on the visor or something else
Overall satisfied with the only downside being the moderate noise
This is the worst helmet I've ever had. Terrible noise (whistling), I honestly can't understand how they praise it. All my helmets are noisy after a certain distance, but this one produces an extremely annoying sound from 100 to 150 kilometers. It doesn't sound like wind noise, it sounds like a whistle. Otherwise, good build quality, difficult opening/closing of the visor, lightweight, and good visibility.
I intended to buy a cheaper helmet (due to budget), but when I went to the store, I was tempted to try the NXR2 since I had previously owned the XR 1000 and was also very satisfied. Unfortunately for my pocket, but fortunately for my head, I couldn't resist the purchase. The fit of it is simply unmatched.
Very nice helmet, although a bit pricey, but you know what you're paying for and what you're buying! Very lightweight, quiet, and fits very well on the head. I highly recommend it!
Very high-quality helmet
Lightweight for full-face
With very good visibility
21 years Shoei and I don't change company
The helmet is incredible in terms of fit. I tried many helmets in the store and this was the only one that I felt hugged my entire head. It has a very nice appearance and I haven't noticed anything bothersome in terms of noise. Very important for those who wear glasses is that they fit without any difficulty, something that is not easily achieved with other helmets.
Coming from a 350€ AGV helmet. Guys, this helmet is amazing. Perfect fit on the head, excellent visibility, super lightweight since I got the Small size (1250gr), and beautiful. I got the Arcane TC10. You can immediately feel the quality. CRAZY GOOD!!!!!
As for the negatives, it produces a bit of noise, but not annoyingly so, and it's nothing compared to the AGV I had. It's actually much quieter than the AGV. I also added a communication system on it and everything is working fine.
Owner of a Fazer 600.
Great helmet. Quality. The gray color doesn't do it justice in the photos. It's shiny. Superior to the NXR and lighter, quieter than the GT Air2. At 410, there is no other like it.
Excellent choice, it is the first full face helmet I bought and I really think it's worth its money. Its strongest points are the quality of construction and materials, its visibility, and ventilation. The only thing that may bother some people is that it is not completely noiseless. Without this meaning that it becomes annoying.
The NXR 2 is truly UNBELIEVABLE!
Excellent and perfect fit, well-designed air vents that literally feel the air passing through the helmet, extremely lightweight (1415 gr in size Large), almost panoramic visibility with the new larger visor, and finally the best part... it has a central button for unlocking-lifting the visor (Bell also has this).
You can buy it with your eyes closed, guys, you won't find anything better out there.
Safe and happy kilometers to everyone!
Excellent helmet, lightweight, no noise from the air, with the pinlock it doesn't fog up at all, the chin strap is very useful. The new visor gives you great visibility on the right and left. The air vents are very good.
Test at low speed, perfect soundproofing, cold, visibility.
Test at speeds up to 180 km/h is excellent.
The problem with Shoei (apart from the prices, which should generally be low for all good helmets so that people can afford them) is that they hesitate to produce a small accessory so that you can also use a tear-off in this series.
