I give it 5 stars, but if you are going to spend that much money and want something more like I did, then go ahead, but for that much or less you can get the flagship from SAMSUNG, the 990d. These things are good for over a decade unless you have complaints from a woman... then sit tight, you're good!
We're talking about a beast in bass; it has 5 levels of bass, I play on 1. Very good acoustics (effects, speech, music), max volume 31 or 32 depending on what you play and where you have it, and it delivers. With the JBL One app, your hands are free since you can see how much battery your detachable speakers have. A good thing is that they charge with a type C cable, so where I have them, I've made sure there's a charger. Even though they have played works and music continuously today, I charged them the first day yesterday, and they are at 97%. It has a remote control, but when you connect the soundbar and TV behind it to the e-ARC, you get amazing results; the TV remote becomes one with the soundbar's. The sound presets aren't many, but they work; some took me to PCM, which didn't bother me. You rarely find a true Dolby file or DVD (for those who don't know, look it up; it doesn't bother me, but reviews from abroad have said it to the company because it's an expensive product and it should support everything old and new). I'm a holder of an old Logitech Z5500 model; those who know it... know the volume and bass here with the BAR 800 go higher, and after 20 years, where my Logitech still works, I can say I'm satisfied.
UPDATE 25/1/25: As for the detachable speakers, I see that in 6 hours they lose about 10% on standby (meaning off), when charging it's red, and when it charges, it turns blue; see images. If you have radiators that you no longer use, it's the right height for shelves; I gave it an additional 20 cm, meaning the height from the floor is 1.30m, and they fit well with the calibration it has; you don't worry at all.
NEGATIVES but not so noticeable:
1st, when the soundbar turns on, it says HELLO and then darkness; I would like a light to say, "look at me, I'm ON," haha.
2nd, the equalizer has only one from the app on the phone; I would like the usual presets plus to have 2-3 of my own.
3rd, it has one HDMI at the back, where in the year 2025, there is chaos with ports; okay, I'll tolerate it because I'll put a splitter for PC and PS5, not that it's bad because I have an LG with 5 ports (1 e-ARC) (1 2.1) and (3 simple HDMI); I've connected the monitor and the soundbar to the e-ARC, and everything is okay (but not everyone has such luxuries; come on, JBL, give us an extra HDMI, come on).
4th, a little more battery for the rear speakers wouldn't be bad.
A BIG ADVANTAGE of JBL: register your product and get +1 year, meaning 3 years warranty with the receipt. If you can't, send them a message; that's what I did because the system was glitching. Don't pay any store extra money for +1 year; you get it with this process for free.
Incredible system. Powerful and clear sound, bass that fills your eye (and ear of course). See how big it is compared to the ps5 next to it. I preferred it compared to an LG SC9S because of the strong and "crispy" bass. Has not been tested in a movie yet. You can take the speakers on the right and left of the soundbar and place them behind your couch to create surround sound. Top!
TIP: to turn off Smart Mode and enjoy music, hold down Mute on the remote for 5 seconds and then immediately press Volume Up. The soundbar will display a message "Off Smart mode". Thank me later!
I have the product for a week now. Initially, the Calibration with its own instructions didn't work so well. After a little searching and a few adjustments, it gave a very decent sound. For music, it has a very nice and powerful bass. The midrange is a bit empty. For movies in a 25 sqm room, it's fine but it requires a little searching for the adjustment of the rear speakers. If you don't want to have extra cables, it's perfect. The rear speakers are wireless and they do the job. Definitely worth it for the 700 euros I bought it for.
As soon as it went on sale, I ran and bought it!!
At first, it requires some settings to have the ultimate experience.. The app on your phone that tells you to download is quite helpful.
P.S. Don't do the settings late at night, the whole neighborhood will wake up, speaking from experience...
