Very stable and easily withstands 150-160 kilograms. Relatively slow, obviously. However, the quality of the fin (I have also reviewed the spare part) is unacceptable as it broke within a short time, along with what was inside it and the other spare part. I thought it was my friend who broke one of them by stepping on it and encountering resistance, but it turns out that they break easily even with light waves in the sea to keep it cool from the heat. I am considering selling the Atlas solely for this reason. I imagine all Aqua Marine products have this vulnerability since the fin is the same in many of them. If you buy it, make sure to get spare parts and never leave the fin underwater or remove it. The cord that ties to the foot broke when I used it in a small wave, about one meter high. It is of very low quality compared to the Spiral, which some others have, even cheaper ones. Additionally, during the first inflation, I noticed a small defect near the wing, so it is likely that I fell on a faulty one and it needs to be replaced.
Very good sup, I love it!!
Incredible stability and glide, to the point that the very first time I did sup in my life, I stood up in the first 5 minutes even though I hadn't inflated it to 15psi.
Great workout and very nice to see the bottom while standing, no matter how tiring it is... after all, it's a sport!!
If you don't want to stand, you can use a chair and it becomes a canoe-kayak...
However..!!
If you are the type who gets bored, this is not for you!
It is relatively large and heavy and requires good rinsing with fresh water and drying afterwards, before storage, like all sups (if you want it to last, of course)... meaning it has a process... I don't just throw it in the sea and pick it up...
It definitely needs an electric pump, because even though it already has a very good manual pump, if you are a beginner and out of shape, you won't get it to 15psi no way.
In short, if you want to seriously engage in the sport, it is highly recommended...
If you want something just for fun, go for something much smaller and definitely more economical...
I have it for 2 years. You can easily go for a ride with 2 people (92 kg me, 83 my brother) and it is very stable. Overall, I don't think it has anything negative.
It goes great with one person sitting upright, but it also works very well with someone lying down with their hands. I also added a small chair for fun and used it as a kayak for a bit. We went up with two adults and two teenagers, totaling 220 kilos, and it held up! It's worth it for the quality and the weight it can handle, especially for family fun and such. I don't know what the cheaper ones do, but you don't easily give away 550 either.
Finally, when inflating, after 7-8 psi, if you weigh 65-70 kilos, you have a problem. Eat a little to reach 80+ so you can inflate it more comfortably HAHA.
