The keyboard is perfect, it is strictly intended for those who type with a blind system. The mouse is also perfect and the most comfortable I have tried so far.
Shortly after I bought it, two keys broke. The right shift key and the down arrow key. Don't buy it. It's very problematic.
I bought two pieces I think before 2018 because I felt very comfortable and relaxed in my wrist. I am a lawyer and I have it in front of me daily for about 8 hours. I type quickly, the keys have perfect spacing between them and they haven't suffered any damage. The mouse and the separate calculator are very user-friendly. In two years, the calculator could not connect and did not work. I had a warranty and Microsoft accepted it and replaced it for me. In fact, they sent me a brand new keyboard, mouse, and calculator, instead of just the calculator.
The best thing I have ever used. I have been writing for 5 hours without any pain in the top 10 and comfortably. I heard that it will be discontinued, so I will probably buy another 2 in advance.
Exciting at first about how convenient it is. Unfortunately, the excitement didn't last long as I expected for a Microsoft keyboard. The keys started losing their functionality one after another, either needing to be pressed five times or not working at all.
Pros:
+ Tremendous ergonomic design for blind typists (or those who want to learn)
+ Very convenient that the numeric keypad is separate, so I had it on the left side, which helped me with my work - left numeric keypad and direct access to the mouse on the right without my hand having to travel.
+ Battery life
Cons:
- The keys were not durable at all. Within a year, they started having poor contacts, especially the numeric keypad. UNACCEPTABLE for a 100+ keyboard. So far, I've only seen this in <10€ keyboards.
- The mouse is not ergonomic at all. (I got the Logitech Master 3s and I am extremely satisfied).
- It's not Bluetooth, so you have to be careful with the USB receiver not getting lost and taking up a USB port, especially for laptops.
The keyboard is quite good, very important that it is 10keyless and wireless.
The layout is indeed very good and perfect for a lapdesk.
Also, for the first time I used the function keys to switch desktops in Windows, so I started using multiple desktops in Windows. Great job with the buttons.
Mute is missing... but what can you do...
The mouse... it's a different story, the cursor keeps freezing and after a while it will annoy you.
Maybe something is wrong with the drivers... I don't know... I threw it away and went back to Logitech.
Poor construction of F keys (top). F4 and F5 remain pressed if you don't press them exactly in the center. Unacceptable for a keyboard over 100 € and frustrating for use in programs that require regular use of these keys.
The function key switching model is not like laptops (Fn key) but with a switch on the top right. Not practical at all. For example, if you want to refresh a page and then lower the volume, you have to change the position of the switch in between.
The mouse is like a tennis ball. I imagine it's a matter of habit. If I don't throw it away in a day or two because of the issue with the sticky keys, I might manage to get used to it.
Nice in terms of appearance and ergonomics.
First time using a sculpt keyboard and I mention it in case someone thinks like me, and now I wouldn't change it for anything. (Of course, it takes time to adjust.)
This one has a very good design and many options for customizing, I want to emphasize that I don't play games.
In one year, everything works as it should, so we are still doing well in terms of durability.
The only complaint is that the double space doesn't function as a backspace, like in some countries where it is a feature. If it had that, it would be a 5-star rating.
However, it is slim unlike the mouse, which is bulky, but they both fit comfortably in a bag.

Poor construction quality for its price. It was replaced within 1 month because a button broke, and within 1 year it fell apart again, outside of the warranty
I come from the sculpt comfort, which I changed for 2 reasons, initially because it is huge and does not leave space for the mouse, and secondly because of the excessively long key travel. For these 2 reasons, I got the sculpt ergonomic. I can say that although the build quality is somewhat controversial, it is truly ergonomic, no strain on the wrists, it is beautiful, sturdy, completely functional (it even has keys to switch virtual work surfaces that you would normally need a touchpad for), small in size to accommodate the mouse, with a very good feel on the keys, which have the correct travel. Typing is done with fewer mistakes compared to the sculpt comfort, the keys have the correct spacing between them, as strange as it may seem from the photos.
The only negative is that the arrow keys, Home, End, PgUp, PgDn, Insert are placed randomly and you have to look at the keyboard to press them correctly. The mouse wheel is not as good as it used to be, this has to do with the quality (at Microsoft, you pay for ergonomics, at Logitech, for build quality).
The mouse has amazing ergonomics, as much as I didn't believe it from the photos.
Overall, I am fully satisfied, although I would be willing to pay more to have this ergonomics with a better build quality of the keyboard and mouse mechanism.
Edit: The MS sculpt comfort mouse is ergonomically better in my opinion despite its design flaws.
Edit2: It died in the 6th month, so the internal build quality is worse than expected
Personally, I had a little problem because it came defective in one spot. However, overlooking that, I love this keyboard!
It is very comfortable and does not strain the wrists with its design. If you don't type with a blind system, it will take you a little while to get used to it, but in a few months, you will end up typing very fast.
I liked my mouse, but I don't use it because it doesn't have enough tilt to avoid straining the wrist. I would prefer if they were offered separately.
Finally, the separate numpad serves me well since I want to type on it with my left hand. Also, my right hand covers less distance to reach the mouse. So, personally, it serves me from these two sides.
Yesterday I received it. Excellent keyboard feeling.
It takes time for the hand angles to get used to the water adjustment.
The numeric keyboard is extremely convenient for me because it is separate, due to the software I use.
The mouse is different, but very convenient.
Of course, I cannot judge its durability over time, but the build quality is excellent.
The batteries were charged from the box.
Small things like magnetic covers for the battery compartments make the difference.
EDIT:
18 months later, I bought my second set.
In the first one, and while it was still under warranty, the scroll on the mouse broke.
The set was returned to the supplier, who sent a different, inferior set worth around €60 instead of the same one, claiming that the model I had was discontinued and no longer available.
For as long as the procedures took, I worked with a simple keyboard and mouse, and I found it extremely difficult.
Today I received the new set and once again found my balance.
Kids, there's no doubt, the keyboard feeling is simply amazing.
Even if something breaks again, I will buy it again with my eyes closed...
The rating is only for the keyboard, as I don't use the mouse. And the purchase was made for the keyboard. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it sold separately.
The keyboard is the most ergonomic and comfortable I've ever had. It has a small width (due to the layout of the arrow keys and the separate numpad which I don't use), so the distance from the mouse is small and the movement of the hand between the keyboard and mouse is more convenient than most keyboards. The mouse is OK but I don't use it (I prefer the Logitech MX Master). Some keys may break after intense daily use (I bought a new one after 2-3 years). It is a bit expensive considering that I ultimately don't use the numpad or the mouse, and I had to buy a new one after about 3 years.
Excellent in design, easily worn out of course but what can we do, I will live with it.
The mouse, very unique at first, is concerning but you get used to it and it is very convenient. Unfortunately, the durability of the mouse is poor. Mine started double-clicking on its own and the keys generally do not respond correctly after 9 months. It's a shame for such a quality product to start having issues after such a short time. I returned it and a month later they refunded me.
I will probably end up getting the same keyboard again but I will combine it with a different ergonomic mouse or maybe I'll take a chance and see what happens with the second one.
The rating is 5 stars for the product itself if it worked well overall, but the whole inconvenience of being without my preferred keyboard for a month just to get a refund and all of this for around 100 euros forces me to lower it to 3 stars. Logitech mouse lasts for 10 years and doesn't break... what a shame.
Pros:
Very good feeling in use, both the mouse and the keyboard. From a comfort perspective, it's worth every penny. Very good design.
Cons:
The side button on the mouse broke after 3 months and had to be taken to the dealership. I can't make use of the num pad. It's a nuisance everywhere (it's a separate third device)
Excellent build quality, keys with greater depth than a laptop but not as much as a mechanical keyboard. Very comfortable, mainly aimed at blind system users. Time will tell if it is durable. The mouse is large and a bit heavy but ergonomically designed. Very satisfied for now.
Update 1/2021: no reliability issues
Update 2/2022: Still working flawlessly. I haven't even changed the original batteries yet.
After 10 months of use:
1. Both the keyboard and the mouse have an amazing feel and are very comfortable even after hours of use.
2. I find it a bit useless to have the numpad separate, so I ended up keeping it permanently next to the keyboard as if it wasn't separate and dragging it along with the keyboard every time I move it, but it's not a major issue.
3. The mouse has a very nice feel and I find the button on the thumb that acts as a Back button and the scroll wheel that "clicks" left and right and scrolls the horizontal bar in Windows applications very convenient.
On the negative side:
1. The keyboard cushion has started to fade and does not recover.
2. Sometimes the left click does not respond and either does not click or double-clicks, which can be very annoying.
3. In the top row of the keyboard (Esc, F1 - F12, Calculator, ...), the keys are "clicky" (like an old mobile phone) and the ones I use most frequently tend to stick and sometimes remain pressed, requiring me to move them with my finger to return to normal.
Given its price (100€), I find the issues with the mouse and the special keys unacceptable. Otherwise, I am very satisfied.

I deducted another star because the mouse now has a mind of its own when it comes to when you can left click and it will also push me to spend extra for a new mouse.
As soon as it turns 3 years old, the left click breaks and the warranty expires. Many people have reported this issue on the Microsoft forum. Microsoft does not change it. It's not worth spending so much money on something that will only last 3 years. It is still very difficult to find spare parts to repair it. I couldn't find them anywhere. Don't make the mistake of getting it. I bought it as a set with the keyboard and now I have to find something else compatible. Unacceptable. Don't waste your money on this. The keyboard is perfect, but it will only remain that way and it needs another mouse with a second USB receiver because it won't be compatible.
It is truly worth every euro! I use it for coding and it suits me extremely well. It is easy to use and does not cause any problems to my hands and wrists. All of these, combined with its perfect design, make it an excellent choice for someone who uses it professionally.
I have been using Microsoft ergonomic keyboards for over 10 years (ergonomic 7000, 4000, etc.). It is the best ergonomic keyboard that the company has released and one of the best overall. Because my work involves a lot of text editing, I have never had any issues with wrist strain using Microsoft ergonomic keyboards, including this one.
In terms of positives: the key press is excellent, the design is original and top-notch. It has a compact size, perfect for small offices or limited space. Personally, I don't use the detachable numeric keypad, so I find the smaller length of the keyboard extremely convenient. Its ergonomic design and support are ideal for protecting the wrists from strain, especially when typing for long hours. The laptop-style keys are quiet, in fact, I would say they are some of the quietest I have used. The key spacing is small. Compared to previous keyboards, I have noticed a significant difference in typing speed, key press force, and noise. I am familiar with touch typing, and with this keyboard, I can type faster, make fewer mistakes, and it is definitely quieter. It takes two small AAA batteries, which definitely last for over a year. It doesn't have an on/off switch, but it doesn't really need one.
As for the negatives: it doesn't have LED backlit keys. Since I am familiar with touch typing, this doesn't bother me because I don't look at the keys while typing. Due to its ergonomic design, it is targeted towards those who are familiar with touch typing. If you look at the keys while typing, it's better to look for something else because you will get confused with this keyboard. It is not a keyboard for gamers, but it is almost exclusively aimed at people who type a lot. The arrow keys are not as convenient to use and I often confuse them with other keys because they don't stand out and there is no spacing between them and the other keys, they are somewhat cramped. There is no indicator or light on the keyboard to show when the CAPS LOCK is pressed. A significant negative is that the wrist support cushion, which used to be leather in previous Microsoft ergonomic keyboards, is now somewhat fabric-like or suede, which results in it getting dirty from hands and friction. If you don't clean it constantly with, for example, wet wipes, it starts to look faded in the areas where the wrists touch. Microsoft provides minimal support for its keyboards on Mac computers, therefore, without drivers, some secondary functions and keys do not work on Mac computers. For the same reason, you cannot customize the functions of various keys on Mac. In general, it has very limited customization options. Another downside is that it doesn't use Bluetooth, only the Microsoft receiver at 2.4 GHz. Lastly, the F1, F2, etc. keys are not regular-sized, they are smaller and have a different shape, and they will likely start to stick after a certain point. Essentially, they are not keys but buttons. Compared to most keyboards, they are small and not user-friendly. If you use them frequently, their use may become annoying. I am starting to have a similar issue with the ESCAPE key (same shape as the F1, F2, etc.), which often gets stuck.
I don't use the mouse and I don't have a clear opinion on it because I have a different one from Logitech, but I can confirm that even though it is large, it is ergonomic and comfortable. Overall, it is a honest and premium product that justifies its high price compared to other ergonomic keyboards, especially since it includes a mouse. I have been using it for three years already and I am completely satisfied.
UPDATE 21/3/2021: After 5 years of use, this keyboard still accompanies me in my daily life. It remains one of the best ergonomic keyboards that have been released, but now it faces stronger competition (Logitech Ergo K860) as it used to be almost unrivaled. It has encountered some minor issues, mainly with the ESCAPE key, which often gets stuck and requires me to press it a couple of times a day at least to unstick it. The wrist rest has not gotten dirty (because I clean it regularly every 2-3 days), but it does show signs of aging. It remains durable and comfortable, without fading in certain areas, but its texture has changed somewhat due to friction, giving it a rubbery feel rather than a matte fabric feel. The fabric surface shows signs of wear, but not where the hands rest (as one would expect), but rather at the lower edge. The truth is that it requires quite a bit of attention as it gets easily dirty. Occasionally, I notice some very minor typing delays, which are related to interference in the 2.4 GHz frequency. It is not something widespread or common, nor is it something rare. Due to frequent use, I believe that the sensation of certain keys is gradually affected, which is expected but not to the point of being bothersome. I believe that it was worth the money, and I have not regretted it for a moment. It has been a faithful worker, but now I want more from a keyboard (Bluetooth, ability to connect simultaneously to a laptop, support for Mac computers, key customization, better drivers), so I see myself looking for a replacement.
A keyboard for very specific users.
I had a problem with tendinitis in both wrists and this keyboard was what made me feel better. Zero strain but it requires getting used to. Now, after having it for 2 years, I have gotten used to it as much as possible.
The mouse, also excellent and incredibly convenient. It also requires getting used to. What many people don't understand is that these are tools for specific types of people. That's why, therefore, it is the best market choice at a good price.
The only negative is the numpad, which easily runs out of battery and also because it is extremely difficult to find this type of battery.
After about a year of operation, the keyboard, which had never fallen down and had never collected dust because I cleaned it frequently, suddenly went off today. The keys were typing random characters. For example, when I pressed "7", it would type "vhu7". But this was happening with all the keys. Also, when it was working, if you held down a key for about 5 seconds, it would continue to function even after releasing it. You had to press it again momentarily to deactivate it!
As for the corresponding mouse, what can I say? I bought it, I held it to see how it was, and I hid it in the closet. Today, everything went wrong.
I'm going back to Logitech, no doubt!!
Excellent in everything! The batteries with heavy use last 6 months in the keyboard, 3 months in the mouse, and 2 years in the numeric keypad. Of course, you need to put fresh batteries because the ones it initially comes with may be very old, as this set is about 5 years old now. I have bought 3 sets to have them because there is nothing better for me after this. You may not like the mouse at first, as it is very bulky, but after 4-5 days, you wouldn't change it for any other.
Excellent but not for everyone, clearly. After 3 years of use with 0 pain in the wrists, I believe it is the best solution to this problem. Beautiful, comfortable, and extremely convenient, with very good build quality despite the plastic. The mouse is strange though. It is a combination of a vertical and a regular mouse that does not capture the ergonomics of the first or the ease of the second, but combines the two worlds. I cannot describe how, but it works better than I thought. The keyboard has the feel of a laptop keyboard and that is not necessarily a bad thing. I think the reduced travel time is the first thing that helps eliminate wrist pain, not so much the shape.
If it had more shortcuts and mechanical keys, I think it would have a more universal appeal, even though the design would not be as slim, but undoubtedly for its price and what it does, there is no better option. I highly recommend it.
It is a very good keyboard. I had no problem with the batteries. For over 6 months, I have only needed to change the battery in the mouse. The F keys and the entire top row have a bad feel when pressed.
The mouse is sufficiently heavy, sturdy, with a good size, and the blue-light works on all surfaces with remarkable accuracy.
I have had it for 3 years and since I got it, my hands have stopped hurting.
It is quite ergonomic and perhaps the best for those who want their hands to be in the correct position.
The battery generally lasts, but it depends on usage. What runs out more frequently is the mouse due to daily use, but this phenomenon is common in all wireless devices.
Do not take it: The keyboard is simply good (I expected it to have a longer lifespan). Amazing design but the mouse is not good, it is a necessary evil. The worst part is the numeric keyboard whose battery does not last more than 20 days. I bought it on 15/1/16 and it is the third one I am changing! I complained and they told me it is their fault for not putting an On/off switch. It stays on and finishes. The best part is that they recommend taking out the battery. So, every night I will unscrew the cover and take out the watch battery with a screwdriver and the next day I will put it back in. I actually bought it for this reason because I work on Cubase and essentially control the program from there. Therefore, if there is no other version with switches, do not buy it. You will need 3 euros per month for maintenance...!
Amazing keyboard. I don't think it's for gamers (I'm not) because the keys have more of a laptop keyboard feel (not as short of a travel distance but something in between compared to classic desktop keyboards). The design is great (of course, it's a matter of taste) but I think Microsoft did a really good job in everything that doesn't just have to do with appearance. From the magnetic ports to the separate numpad that you can move to the left or right of the keyboard or put it in the drawer.
The only downside is the mouse that it comes with (and unfortunately, it affects the price) which for me is terrible and I have put it aside.
edit 30/01/2015 I was forced to use the mouse lately. It's usable and works OK, it's just not particularly comfortable for long hours of work on the PC. The forward button is greatly missed.
edit 01/01/2017 I bought it again (just the keyboard, without the mouse) not because the first one broke but because I had burned the "leather" with a cigarette and I couldn't stand looking at it like that. I was afraid that Microsoft would stop producing it and I wouldn't be able to find it later on....
