This review is about a variation of the product

A simple plastic case that does its job perfectly for the money. Its opening is very easy and the disc does not move at all.

The case is for someone who just wants to put a hard drive inside and use it occasionally.

Endless plastic to the point that I didn't expect it even for its price. The cable it comes with is not of good quality, and somehow you can't reach the maximum speed that a 2.5 SSD drive theoretically achieves.

Instead of 500 to 600 MB/s that the drive supported at maximum, barely 150 write and 200 read.

My product wasn't defective because I bought it twice, for the same SSD drives.

I tried another cable, and the read and write speed improved, but still a flimsy case. In no way did the drives reach their full potential.

Also, the cable in the packaging differs from the one in the photos.

    Stay away, dear ones

This review is about the colour: White

▶ Very good application! Bone! So much that I don't know if I will be able to take out the disk again!
This is obviously desired as it has ZERO play (see photo) and therefore reduces the likelihood of problems even after a fall!
▶ Generous cable size at 50cm (for a 9€ case)!
▶ Indeed, the indicator light/status indication of disk activation turns off after 10 minutes of inactivity (as shown in the last photo) contributing to the extension of the disk's life (as the manufacturer says)!
    How does this feature work???
(an explanation from the expert :-):
The device that implements the SATA/USB connectivity keeps track of the last time the disk was accessed by the host and as soon as 10 minutes of inactivity pass, it puts the disk in sleep mode but continues to publish the disk as active. When a command is received from the host, it receives the access command message normally and wakes up on the disk and executes the access command. Then you will see the indicator light come back on.
It is a very useful function implemented by ORICO and at a very good product price!
(and why do I mention this feature? Because not all companies/products implement it the same way. For example, a Docking Station that I have (from LC-Power - a very good company too) turns off the disks completely after 10 minutes of inactivity - OFF disconnection! And you have to search for it whenever you need to activate it again)
▶ Pay attention to where you place the anti-vibration sponge!
Because, at times, I have seen many unrelated people in videos (in similar cases) putting it at the bottom.
ALWAYS* put it on the lid!
(* unless the case provides side/peripheral anti-vibration pads that MUST be installed on the bottom (and not on the lid)).
▶ I do not recommend the color choice (white) I made. I got them in white simply and only for functionality (2€ lower than black - 2× cases 18€) (I do not intend to transfer the disks back and forth - to avoid dirt - There will probably be yellowing (PROBABLY) in white if the material they have used does not withstand ultraviolet radiation - but as I said, I didn't go for beauty)
    ------
For read/write speeds I will come back as I just set up one now!
