For the money, it is a quite good tester and fairly fast. I haven't tried it yet with optical fibers because we have a different machine. Its advantages are that it charges with a USB cable, opens easily, accepts several settings, and is lightweight. Its disadvantages are definitely the plastics, which seem to break easily, so in an area where a cable might fall, it would be very easy to break. Also, with some cables, one time it shows that the terminations are correct and on a second measurement that they are different. Of course, it was the cable's fault because in a measurement we did with a different machine, the cable's certification did not pass. The distance measurement is quite accurate, as long as the cable is at least 5 meters - something that is stated in the manual.
