I have two cats, Bob (2 years old) and Calvin (10 months old).
Bob is so addicted that he constantly begs us to play. He goes to the drawer where we store it and shows it to us with his nose. When we pretend to touch the drawer, he doesn't know what to do out of excitement! Sometimes, when we get tired, we close it back in the drawer, but he doesn't seem to have lost interest. From playing so much, he has become very skilled at catching it.
On the other hand, Calvin looks at it as something strange and sometimes lazily reaches out his hand to catch it if it passes by him. It seems very strange to me. Maybe it has to do with the fact that he hasn't been neutered yet and has "other interests," or maybe it's because he only has one eye and it tires him out. I don't know.
The toy is durable. Bob has slightly damaged it, but overall it still holds up well (after 2 months of daily play). I would prefer it to be 20%-50% larger in size, but even in its small size, it's good - especially if the space is small. It would be even better if it had a spare worm.
