Very good reflective PC, response speed, mouse, etc., instant unpacking, loading, unzipping, copy/pasting. I don't know if it's the e-cores or the ddr5 cl-28 5600hz 32gb or the NVM.2 - 2T or the Z790 TOMAHAWK or the combination!
9700K pulls 160w in game (PUBG) with 72c temperature and 80% CPU usage.
13700KF pulls 60w in game (PUBG) with 52c temperature and 15% CPU usage.
There is fear that it is a hot processor. In Cinebench R24 and video editing, it does reach 100c. Never in games.
Undervolt with core voltage offset in XTU = -0.125V, in Cinebench it reaches up to 86c. In games, it stays at 46-55c.
Honestly, for games, I'm thinking of putting a small heater next to it so it doesn't get cold (just kidding).
It is equipped with the AIO Corsair h100x elite 240mm. This CPU will last for many years for my usage.
Edit: In the PUBG lobby, the CPU usage is at 4%. IT WILL SHUT DOWN...
Very powerful CPU with a 7900xt for gaming, I am extremely satisfied. I play 4k ultra on all games and have over 90 fps. Just needs good cooling, I have a bequiet aio triple fan. [links to YouTube videos] I have also uploaded a benchmark with Ghost Recon. [link to YouTube video]
I have it installed on an Asus Prime Z790-A with AIO Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 liquid cooling and Kingston Fury Beast 32GB DDR5 RAM with 2 Modules (2x16GB) and a speed of 6000.
I have it working in Eco/power saving mode.
Idle temperature is 30°C.
In games, it reaches 60°C.
Up to 81°C with 3 open games.
It easily reaches 5.3GHz when needed.
Idle power consumption ranges from 5-16Watt, up to 160Watt as I have seen.
I have had it for 2 months and I am satisfied.
Update Vol 1: It still works normally. It reaches up to 60-65°C without freezing.
9/7/2023 21:40 Room temperature 28°C, CPU 34°C, power consumption 12-17Watt
Warmer than the 12700KF by about 6°C.
With a 360mm AIO water-cooling, you might have an issue with 100% usage in the summer. Slightly faster in single core, but the 4 additional cores help a lot with multitasking. If you don't have at least a 360mm AIO, you won't be able to keep it cool without throttling unless you undervolt.
*update 1 If you have a Gigabyte motherboard, I recommend: CPU VCORE=NORMAL, Internal VCCSA=NORMAL, Dynamic Vcore = -0.075
