The diagonal of the Motorola Moto G72 is 6.55", with a P-OLED type, allowing you to watch movies, series, shows, and even videos on YouTube or social media with comfort and ease. Additionally, you will have the ability to play games, attempting to defeat your opponents and emerge as the winner.
Efficient Processor for Tasks
The processor of the Motorola Moto G72 is the MediaTek Helio G99. It is octa-core and capable of handling app downloads or managing various tasks on your phone. Thus, you can use it in your daily life easily and with fast performance, without encountering problems and delays.
Camera that takes quality shots
The triple rear camera system of the Motorola Moto G72 is divided into the 108MP wide-angle, the 8MP ultra-wide-angle, and the 2MP macro. Based on these features, your shots will come out as if taken by a professional and not by someone you know. As for the front camera, it is 16MP, so you can take selfies full of smiles, jokes, and happy faces that you will remember for years, reminiscing about them.
Easily with one move
The NFC function that the Motorola Moto G72 is compatible with makes your daily life easier, as you have the convenience of paying with your phone instead of cash. Additionally, it has a fingerprint sensor under the screen, allowing you to unlock it securely, maximizing the protection of your personal files.
Long-lasting Battery
The battery of the Motorola Moto G72 is 5000mAh, so you have time to take photos, communicate with your loved ones, and browse social media. When you need to charge your phone, it supports fast charging, so it quickly gets fully charged and is soon back in your hands, ready for use.

Value for money! AMOLED screen at 120 Hz with brightness that would make phones of double the price category jealous. It doesn't have bloatware like Xiaomi, resulting in smooth navigation and app functionality. It supports WiFi Calling, something my previous Galaxy didn't have, and it has solved my issues with poor signal from COSMOTE inside my house. The battery is huge, it lasts and lasts... and when it runs out, it reaches 80% again in just 45 minutes with the 30W TurboPower. And it doesn't need to be locked with the screen off to charge at maximum speed.
The fingerprint sensor works flawlessly, it is optical and hidden under the screen. It has never disappointed me, although personally I prefer my mother's G31's side-mounted sensor because my thumb automatically goes there. With the way things have progressed, I should also mention the 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio, and microSD card, things that come in handy and have disappeared from many flagships. The Dolby Atmos effects really do their job on the stereo speakers, but I always turn them off when I connect headphones. Don't forget to set the screen's color profile to Natural if you want accurate sRGB colors.
I don't know what else to write about this phone. It can do anything you want! The only things it lacks are optical image stabilization for videos and 5G! It also hasn't received Android 13 yet (coming soon) and I don't see it getting Android 14. It's not something that bothers me too much, as all my apps run faster and more stable than ever, without ads and annoying popups.
Personally, I will miss the ANT+ connectivity that Galaxy phones have, but I must be one of the last people still using ANT+ peripherals.
As for the negatives, I would mention the fact that it has a plastic frame and back cover. I don't expect it to withstand the years that the Galaxy S7 did with all the falls it endured. But you never know! At least it comes with a silicone case and charger with a cable.
Very good screen. The battery lasts over a day with calls, browser, messenger, YouTube, and similar activities. I don't play games. The processor is just fine, more than enough for the usage I do, it doesn't lag at all. The call quality is very good as well as the 4G LTE. It connects steadily and with very good speeds, you don't notice a difference from 5G. Speedtest gave me 100+ Mbps in an area with good signal.
Photo and video are very mediocre. The speakers with Dolby Atmos are quite satisfactory, and it has a 3.5mm jack for headphones.
And this is where we start to have issues. Where Motorola has created a very good phone, it begins to deviate from market standards by adding its own patents.
It has its own fast charging system that is not compatible with either PD or Quick Charging. It charges quickly but only with its own charger that comes in the box. Otherwise, the charging speed drops to 5W! With a power bank that supports fast charging at 30W, it takes about 5 hours to charge.
It is also not compatible with USB Hubs that I tried, and you cannot charge while having another device connected like a mouse, memory stick, camera, etc. The same hubs work perfectly with Google Pixel and Samsung. It is also not compatible with video capture cards that work fine with other phones.
And finally, the 3 front cameras can only be used from the pre-installed app. In other apps like OpenCamera, GCam, etc., access is only allowed to the main camera.
I wouldn't buy it if I knew these details.
I got it for my 12-year-old son, for the work he needs it for, youtube, gaming, and some photos, it's perfect. Even plays Fortnite just fine. Of course, I have no opinion on heavier games, etc., but for what you pay, it's value for money.
I got it for my mother and I don't think there is anything better.
Durable, beautiful, incredible battery life (over three days), good camera.
Difficult menu.
It's a phone that didn't impress me with anything. Although I come from a phone with an IPS screen (3GB RAM and 32GB storage) (ZTE Blade V10), I didn't find anything amazing. The screen is good, especially in terms of brightness outdoors, but if you start looking at it at an angle, the white disappears and turns blue. It has shown a couple of issues even though it's new. What I found are the following problems. 1. The data often does not activate unless the flight mode is turned on and off. 2. The battery has a "optimized charging" feature that, when active, does not work, and the battery icon remains unchanged when it should appear with a different symbol. 3. The battery also has a "overcharge protection" feature that, when activated, normally does not allow the charge to exceed 80%. However, this doesn't work either, and it reaches 100% if you forget the phone plugged in. I solved this with the "safe charge" app from the Play Store. 4. Screen mirroring (like on most Motorola models) does not work. And the bad thing is that it doesn't work even with an app from the Play Store. So if I want to project something on the smart TV, I use the old ZTE. 5. The fingerprint sensor is under the screen and is particularly slow in reading, which is very unpleasant, especially when you're in a hurry to unlock the phone. Comparatively, the old ZTE, which had the sensor on the back, opened instantly. My phone cost me €104 after tax, purchased from a well-known store. So given the very low price, I overlook the problems I mentioned. However, I believe that the €330!!! it cost in January '23 is a scandalous price. To price a phone high, it should first have such problems resolved. Therefore, for a hundred bucks, it's good. Not a euro more.
For the €120 I paid, it's just fine as a second device.. it always depends on what each person is used to, in the past I had cheap devices at similar prices, then I moved to something a bit better at €400+, and I got this as a second.. the difference in speed is noticeable in simple everyday use (browsing social media, Skroutz, YouTube, etc.), but not very annoying.. essentially, the good thing is the screen, which combined with the compact dimensions makes me not feel like I'm using something cheap.. the camera is quite average, the battery is good, the software seems pleasant, overall it seems to me that it's the best solution if you have a budget of €130-140.. for more, there might be slightly faster phones in operation, but they will lack in something else.. so yes! for the money, it's quite good!
The phone has good features but at times its microphone cuts out and they can't hear you well, which becomes very annoying since you get it for a phone. Camera, speaker, and software all good for the price. The screen is its strongest point. The battery lasts 2 days if you stop all the unnecessary apps running in the background. If I had to buy a phone again, I would probably get something else.
The selling point for me is its p-oled screen. If you want to watch videos and movies, it's excellent. The g99 doesn't handle games like Wuthering Waves, so I would mainly recommend it for its display. The battery is satisfactory, I would say
Quite a good budget phone. Due to the OLED, the battery doesn't last as long as an IPS phone, but still quite satisfied. The screen is amazing, the camera is good for its price, and very powerful stereo speakers
My favorite category: Value for money. I can't say that I belong to the category of users who use it for gaming, so I haven't identified any processor requirements.
On the very positive side. Although I have been using Xiaomi phones for years, I find the differences between the two companies.
1st) The Motorola has a much better screen. Fantastic resolution and image quality.
2nd) The sound in music and movies is leagues better.
3rd) And most importantly,
THERE ARE NO ADS INSIDE THE PHONE.
With Xiaomi, even a simple navigation on the phone (e.g., in my files or clearing memory) constantly has ads!
I have had it for 1 year. It freezes a lot and everywhere: during calls, on the internet, in videos (both playback and downloading), and overall it is a mediocre phone. I expected better based on the reviews
100€ from Kotsovolos and it literally flies! I've never held a faster phone in my life. Also, its battery life is amazing. The daytime photos are average. The selfies are very good. Even the nighttime ones are very good, to my surprise! The worst part is the video. Overall, very satisfied
Bought 2 months ago, for simple use just perfect for the money it costs, calls are flawless in terms of sound quality, signal transmission is great, it doesn't lag, and of course, the charging with its own fast charger is incredible. In short, it's just what you need; the only question is how long it will last. Other than that, it's an interesting phone with the package including a fast charger and a case inside.
Owner of this phone for 10 months, fast phone, amazing battery, screen is top-notch.
Plenty of gaming use.
Value for money.
For the last 8 years, I don't change smartphone companies
Motorola has clearly established itself as the new dominant player in terms of value for money, especially in the range of €100 to €250, as well as for anyone who wants more than just a powerful device and a clean Android, free from all those useless additions, annoying advertisements, and confusing UI of other companies (which also burden performance and cannot be removed...! You end up being bothered by constant notifications and taking up unnecessary space, so ultimately you have to "put up with them"). As for the g72 now, for just €140!, you get a g99 CPU, NFC, stereo speakers, 8GB RAM, 128GB ROM, 108MP camera, a large battery, fast charging, a 120Hz p.oled screen!, fast charger and cable, as well as a silicone case included in the package! Truly impressive power, responsiveness, and battery life, with strong and clear sound both in speech and in video and music playback. The camera was simply satisfactory for my taste, but with the addition of Google Lens and a little exploration, it excelled everywhere! (in terms of clarity, colors, brightness, sharp focus, night mode). The truth is, I didn't expect anything less, as the reviews from friends for this device were extremely positive! (which were indeed confirmed), and also because my wife already had a Motorola (g23), which, although of a lower series, is also flawless and above all, "reliable"....
Absolutely positive experience. It's worth the money and more. No problems so far. Everything is great. Battery, screen, sound, nothing lags and of course, the price!!!! Very satisfied so far. We will see
Very good mobile for its price. Fast, very good screen resolution, lightweight, powerful speaker, extremely fast battery charging. In terms of photo quality, it is average. The package included a charger and a case
Good device. However, it is unacceptable from Motorola not to have pre-installed photo gallery, notes, calendar, etc. and to have to download apps with ads or through Google, which I personally do not like. I used to have the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro and I can say that it was better and more user-friendly. I regret this particular purchase.
Good phone for its price.
It doesn't have a variety of ringtone options, only 7 sounds for calls.
It lags a bit in applications like Viber, for example.
I will come back.
Just realized that you can't edit photos, it redirects you to Google to buy an editing package, outrageous.
I'm coming back, difficult to operate and very poor, add something more and get something else much better.
Also, it doesn't have good signal reception
For its price, it is a very good phone with fast charging and the battery lasts a day much better than Xiaomi. I had many Xiaomi phones, that's why I judge and compare it. Anyone who wants to buy it can get it, it has an incredible camera, incredible video, incredible sound, incredible headphones, incredible battery, incredible screen resolution
The motherboard burned after 10 months with the explanation that it got wet. The official service asked me for 170 euros to fix it. I spent 220 euros for a 10-month phone
For its price, it is excellent. Very good clarity in calls, very good screen, very good battery. Plastic frame that I don't think will last three years.
I got it for a simple mobile phone and I am finally impressed, amazing sound, a screen that is bright even though it's OLED, very smooth motion, now I understand those who talk about the 120Hz, good battery life, good performance. The details have been mentioned by others.
And the most important thing is that it doesn't have advertisements, programs that don't work, complicated menus, and other such nonsense that Xiaomi, Samsung, etc. have.
The phone is good but the UI could be better. Also, the camera has AI but you can only use it for photos if you use the pro camera. It charges in about 45 minutes but gets quite warm especially when playing a heavy game, but it doesn't receive many updates
A budget phone that is worth every euro at 180-190 euros! I won't go into detail about what others have written, but this phone has it ALL: amazing photos during the day, radio without data for those who want it, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a 33W charger included in the box, a very good battery, very fast charging in 60-70 minutes from 15% to 100%, very good mobile signal, incredible stereo sound, a 120Hz display, clean ad-free Android, clear speech, and a strong Wi-Fi signal. Additionally, it comes with a transparent case that fits very well. You pay 180-190 euros and the only extra thing you might need to pay for is a screen protector. And... enjoy! And believe me, the phone works extremely well for calls, GPS, and browsing. I want to emphasize that it is very slim and lightweight in the hand, not a brick that weighs you down or makes you look crooked when you have it in your pocket and people ask why you're slouching...! If you're asking about demanding games, I don't know because I don't play. In a time when someone values their money and wants an honest phone, they shouldn't look elsewhere. I have become annoyed and disgusted with the premium company policies that get worse every year. They initially removed the headphones, then the radio, then the charger, then the 3.5mm jack, and soon they will probably remove the ability to make calls. But their prices keep increasing. Every year, phones become less and less mobile and more like cameras, video cameras, and gaming consoles. Yes, it's not the phone you show off on the coffee shop table while enjoying your frappe to impress others. Yes, it's not the phone you play intense games with incredible FPS and high requirements. Yes, it's not the phone that will capture the perfect nighttime photo or take amazing videos because suddenly the director inside you woke up and you want Hollywood quality in the videos you'll post, and in the end, it's probably Mitsaras of social media or Tassoula from your neighborhood who will watch them. It's not the phone that people will ask you about. And yes, it's not the phone you'll fall in love with at first sight. However, it is the phone that you will love because it exceeds the average in what it promises, because it comes with essential accessories in its box, because it will give value to your money and won't disappoint you in everyday matters like mobile and Wi-Fi signal strength, browsing speed, decent daily photos, and battery life. Whether as a primary phone or a backup, get it with your eyes closed.
For the money, it's a pretty good phone. In calls, you can hear and be heard clearly. It can take two SIM cards or one SIM card and one SD card. The screen is pretty good with nice colors, although it could be a little brighter. Clean Android without useless apps that can't be uninstalled. Front and back cameras are decent for photos, but average for videos. Construction-wise, don't expect much, it's all plastic, but it's thin and light. The battery lasts a day and more and charges very quickly. The processor works flawlessly on social media and browsing. In my opinion, it's much better than devices of the same price range from Xiaomi and Samsung. Upgrading to Android 13 solves the issues with open listening, the screen becomes brighter, and there are more appearance settings, making it more user-friendly on the launcher.
2 months later: The phone is excellent! Tremendous panel, with fantastic contrast and brightness, exceptional clarity! The photos are very good, equal and even better than mobiles costing 100-200€ more! Smooth operation overall, very good call quality and loud speakers, either on the microphone during calls or on loud music. What can I say first. It's worth more than its money! And it would easily be worth 100€ more! I have also added a 256GB card to it, and together with its 128GB, it flies! As for the battery, it lasts a day with heavy use. With normal use, it can last up to two days. The only downside is that you can't find a wide range of cases.
I come from Xiaomi Redmi Note 9s.
The positives of the Moto G72 are: lighter, has NFC, dual sim but no SD card, has good resolution and you can set it up as you want unlike Xiaomi. It resembles some functions of the iPhone, has speakers on top and bottom, and is very good for watching movies in terms of both sound and image. I don't have any signal problems or browsing issues, it doesn't have 5G (which doesn't bother me) but it has 4G plus.
Negatives: the battery doesn't last long, especially during gaming and internet use, it slightly lags for those who play games like Call of Duty and PUBG, the camera is not as promised.
For the price of 200 euros, I would buy it again
Fast!
Very good screen.
Decent speaker and sound.
Overall, calls are very good with minimal complaints.
Photos in jpeg are oversaturated. In raw (professional mode), they are very good, but they definitely need editing (obviously the last part).
I haven't played games much, but I have no complaints so far.
Battery is fine.
One of the most value-for-money phones in 2023 at €200. Xiaomi phones have a heavy operating system. Realme, on the other hand, with its Gt neo 2 mobile phone, which costs over €300, always prioritizes the CPU, while the newer models of Realme's value-for-money category focus on the camera. Samsung is an overpriced Android, as you have to pay an extra €100 for 8GB. Apple offers refurbished iPhone 7 at this price, LOL. Huawei doesn't exist. So, in conclusion, this phone is good and has a likable OS. I was used to Xiaomi's file explorer, which is available as an application in the Play Store. Despite all this, the settings are detailed
