They do an incredible job, they have a cushion on the headband and soft material on the ears for comfort but they are tight, maybe that's how they should be, I don't know, in order to seal better. For a child who wanted them, however, no problem, and the folding headband makes the situation even easier. I do not recommend them for a large head
