The book you hold in your hands analyzes the role that written language plays in resolving timeless relational impasses and in strengthening and enriching communication. It is based on the original written texts and messages that emerge during the therapeutic process and are the product of interaction between therapists, clients, and significant others. All kinds of messages exchanged function as "therapeutic pigeons," carrying messages about small but, primarily, significant issues of existence and coexistence: about love, justice, redemption, life decisions, and the joy that emotional contact with others offers.

We hope that our work will be useful to mental health professionals and related specialties who wish to use written language in their daily practice.
