The Samsung PM897 is a 2.5'' SSD hard drive, making it ideal for replacing and upgrading the hard drive in a laptop, as well as an affordable option for desktops. It supports the SATA III communication protocol, which offers fast speeds and is compatible with the majority of motherboards.
To install on a desktop computer, you will need a SATA III data cable and an available SATA port on the motherboard. You will also need an available power cable for the SATA device from the power supply. For installation on a laptop, no cables are needed and the SSD simply plugs into the SATA slot.
