I got them for movies at night when everyone is sleeping so I don't disturb, I think they compete with the Sony soundbar that costs 500 euros equally. Also, with the headphones I have tried several good ones, the bass on these cannot be compared. A fantastic upgrade for me.
These are the first headphones I am trying (I mainly used earbuds), and the sound is quite good, with a noticeable difference. However, they are not particularly comfortable. I would rate them 5/10 for how comfortable they are, but the sound balances it out; also, I wear glasses which makes them even more uncomfortable. I believe, though, that it is a matter of habit.

I feel like they need a soundcard as they're not very loud when plugged into my motherboard.
I have plugged them in my speaker's port and they work just fine, really good sound quality and you hear sounds that you have never heard before with cheaper headsets even with expensive "gaming" (aka overpriced) headsets

Very good headphones, a big advantage is the soft material that touches the ears, it doesn't tire at all.
Very good sounding industry standard headphones, great for studio work. While being very comfortable, I personally find them somewhat heavy and warm when it comes to location sound engineering. I prefer to use them in winter over summer as my head gets warm, sometimes sweaty, and the material they are made of can get smelly
I am amazed! I have occasionally used various wired headphones of inferior quality (for walkman, for my keyboard, for the television, computer, sound system), but the cables always bothered me, and when I became financially capable, I permanently turned to wireless ones, which unfortunately are mostly either useless or completely non-functional. All have some (even weak) interference, as well as interference from various sources, e.g., when someone talks on the phone which is connected to a VDSL router at a distance of 1 meter (necessarily) from my PC. As soon as I put the above headphones on my head, the first thing I did was lower the volume from 70, where it was permanently, to 60, then to 50, then to 40... now it is at 30. The reason is not, of course, the volume of the headphones themselves, but
1st: the isolation they provide and consequently
2nd: the crystal-clear sound that I had been deprived of for so many years. Better than the speakers themselves. I have good speakers, but I hardly ever use them, to avoid hearing the surrounding sounds (of the house, the apartment building, the neighborhood, the sky :)
The feeling? Feather-light feeling despite the good quality of the materials.
I have medium-sized ears, and they fit completely into the space that the cushions have in the center, which has not happened with any other type of headphones I have tried, small or large.
Were they worth the money? For me personally? Absolutely and then some.
So why only 4 stars and not 5?
1st: The little bag that has the cable inside the packaging is stuck with tape on the cable, resulting in needing a cutter, and there is a risk of cutting the cable, although I avoided it.
2nd: Its plug is 2 in 1. 6.3mm SCREWED onto 3.5mm which is found internally, which would be wonderful if the internal 3.5mm that I will use exclusively did not have the screw threads, which prevent it from fitting into all 3.5mm sockets. For example, it does not fit into the socket of my speakers, but it fits into the socket of the sound card I have, at the back of my PC case. Sorry for my verbosity, I don't usually do this, but I thought it was necessary. I recommend them to anyone who can buy them. I got them for use with my PC, where I now do everything (movies, videos on the internet, music playback, games, and a combination of these).

First use and they are simply wonderful. I have never had studio headphones, so I have no comparison with others, but compared to commercial ones, they are class superior.
The sound quality is very good, it feels like the speakers, without feeling a big difference in the sound. For their price, they are worth it!
The headphones are very good, used for listening to music but also for amateur sound mixing. I am impressed by the length and durability of the cable, which is permanently attached to the wheel of my chair and has not worn out. They require an audio amplifier or a good sound card to support them in order to fully utilize their intensity at 100% due to the 80 ohm resistance.
Simply perfect...
Not flat but they have a natural approach to sound.

If you are wondering whether or not you should buy these headphones… the answer is yes.
I will go straight to the point and then I will go into details.
The headphones are fantastic for what I bought them for.
I wanted a good set of headphones that I can trust both in terms of sound and in terms of build quality and comfort.
I can wear them all day, with or without glasses, even lying down in bed, without a pillow directly on the mattress.
Now, in more detail. If you want, read them and draw your own conclusions.
This is my personal experience.
The truth is that I started to love them lately after a lot of research and comparison with other sites like RTINGS and learning about the limitations that headphones have compared to live sound, obviously good sound systems in suitable spaces without echoes, etc.
More or less, a basic driver cannot do everything and manufacturers are forced to make compromises by tuning in such a way as to achieve the best possible result for the ears of the world.
And so I try to deal with everything.
What everyone wants in relation to the limitations is far apart.
If you take a sound, record it through instruments, convert it into a digital format of 0 and 1, convert it back into an analog signal that will vibrate a drum expecting that you will get the original 100%, then you have not understood something.
You can imagine every sound system as an artistic representation of reality that it projects.
It will never be exactly the same.
So the fact that these headphones come quite close and I am happy to finally listen to music makes them one of my favorite things I have ever bought and I expect to have them for many years (already over 3) and as time goes by I love them even more.
Now I am changing the subject to the purely technical.
80 ohms is in the middle. You can even run them with a mobile phone and on the PC it's okay but the truth is that after I went to an iFi Audio zen air dac amplifier, I simply don't want to go back to motherboard sound.
I bought them with the idea of buying one, and to tell the truth the difference is not day and night as many say. It is not immediately perceptible especially if you have not "trained" your ear to "good" sound. It is not like a 1080 to 4K difference that everyone can see, it is somewhat different.
I will explain it in my own words using inertia as a tool for understanding.
Heavy drums, strings, and small light bells.
You give them energy and they vibrate.
The bells will be heard even with the slightest touch but the drums need a lot more energy.
A good amplifier has the power to play them all correctly without difficulty.
A weak amplifier will struggle, it will produce volume BUT not very uniformly.
The overall sound will be good but some frequencies will be shrill and others will be weak.
So I would say if you don't plan to spend 130+100 or even more, maybe it's better to go up to 32 ohms.
Anyway, if you have never dealt with sound and technical analysis of headphones, don't overdo it.
Set your budget and filter by rating. Take a look at RTINGS to get an idea of the objective rating, because reviews like this one will drive you crazy. Get a good, tested headphone to do the job.
At the end of the day, the important thing is to enjoy the experience. I hope I helped and didn't tire you out. Enjoy listening.
P.S. I changed the ear cushions when needed and it made a difference. The ear cushions matter a lot, both in comfort and sound
Lover of sound, first experience with "professional" headphones, I have already fallen in love with them...
As soon as I connected them to the focusrite and amplitube 5 (guitar), I realized how wrong settings I had been searching for all this time.
If you are a fan of beats or similar, you will not be thrilled, so look elsewhere.
They are exclusively aimed at lovers of flat sound so that you can hear all the details for the first time.
I'm sure there are higher-class headphones out there, but considering their price, I am more than satisfied.
One last thing that everyone emphasizes - they are COMFORTABLE.
Excellent, however... For someone who is not used to surgical clarity, they may seem too dry. The headphones are for studio as the title suggests. If you use them for movies or music, you will hear all the imperfections of musical instruments, the breaths of singers and actors, and generally any imperfection will appear more prominently. For studio use, mixing, or even gaming, I recommend them. They are excellent in games where you need to hear details like footsteps or small movements and will immerse you in the world. Very soft ear cushions and I love the huge cable they have even though it is unfortunately not detachable. If you get used to them, however, you won't be able to go back to muddy/dirty sound. They will simply put you in search of sound files with higher quality than the usual mp3 128kbps. I recommend them with the use of an amplifier, such as the Fiio K5 Pro
Very good build quality, perhaps the best in this price range. (The only negative is that the cable is not detachable). Ideal for studio use, but for home use and jazz or soft rock music, they lack compared to open-back headphones (such as Sennheiser HD 599 or 560). The open-back headphones from Sennheiser have a more melodic and sweet sound. The DT 770 Pro isolates better because they are closed-back and have a heavier bass for those who listen to beat or hard rock music. Of course, it's all a matter of preference and it would be good if there is a possibility to listen to them first.
With so many positive comments here, I fell for it. I looked at the positive comments, I looked at the headphones to see what frequency they produce... You probably haven't heard hi-end sound... I was disappointed with the purchase... Let's start over... We said we wanted to listen to hi-end sound without spending a fortune... Coming from Pioneer HDJX5, which had poor build quality (the plastic supports broke and they asked me for 130€ for the whole arm), I said with that money I'll go for something new... With around 130 euros, of course I don't have high expectations, but come on, manufacturer, when you say 5hz to 30-something khz... at least give me the harmonics that an ear can hear... 20-20khz... so in hi-end sound, it seemed slightly fake to me. It produces good harmonics in the mid-high range for its price, and of course below 200hz, when it wants to give you that hi-end sound, it will, but how... up to around 30% volume, it will deliver, but still, as I said... you get what you pay for... and now let's talk about increasing the volume above 50%... that's when the instruments start... it's like putting your head inside a pot of boiling pasta... such disappointment... it can't handle high volumes, both on Yamaha and Sony that I have... below 200hz, when the instruments come in, you will simply be disappointed... extreme distortion... up to 30% volume, everything is fine... when you increase the volume above 50%, it doesn't deliver the 200hz, resulting in distortion throughout the music in your ear... and we're always talking about sound in a flat state... don't make the mistake of giving it bass... that's the end... we said we can tolerate distortion above 70 to 80% volume, but here, in these specific headphones, distortion starts from 40-50% volume and above... something I didn't experience with the previous headphones I mentioned... my phone doesn't even recognize them... now, as for sound cards, etc., I don't have an opinion because that's digital sound... in analog sound, hi-end analog, below 200 to 300hz, when your music starts, it's simply garbage... I might as well cook pasta and listen to the bubbles rather than listen to the sound from these headphones...
After 7 years of daily use for editing, I can say that they are unique for their price and what they offer!
Great headphones for their price. I come from "gaming headphones" and the quality is incomparable. They are connected to a very simple sound card (Ugreen US205) but I haven't encountered any problems yet, either in terms of quality or volume. They are also very comfortable!
I have had them for 3 years and they haven't given me the slightest issue. I have them connected to an external sound card and I use them for basic mixing and guitar (bedroom guitarist with plugins, etc.). They are simply flawless and I highly recommend them!
The only negatives I would mention is that after 1-2 hours of continuous use, I feel a slight pressure on my temples, but I have a slightly larger head than average with prominent cheekbones. However, in any case, this has never been a reason for me to stop my session.
Very good headphones. Compared to the HyperX Cloud II, they have much better clarity, slightly softer bass but you can recognize the sounds much better. I don't know about studio quality, but I am generally very satisfied with their sound and construction. They accidentally fell on the ground with a lot of force and surprisingly they didn't suffer anything except for a scratch.
There are dozens of reviews and many comments have been written here as well. So I won't bore you with details.
Positives:
- Perfect sound. When you wear them to listen to music, you will be shocked. Especially if you come from a dual monitor setup (speakers) or gaming headphones like me. You will notice details that you have never noticed before.
- Comfortable to use. And I repeat: comfortable. I wear glasses and I always had an issue with headphones. No matter how many I tried, I couldn't stand them after ~1 hour and I took them off. I literally wear the DT 770 for hours and they don't bother me at all. I also use them for long gaming sessions. A voice actor once said that the best headphones are the ones you will get up to leave the office while wearing, until the cable pulls you back. That's exactly what happens with these.
- Build quality. You can feel it in your hands. Very sturdy.
- I expected that they wouldn't be bearable in the heat of summer, especially with these earpads. But in the end, the ear doesn't sweat. They are comfortable to wear even in the summer. Much more comfortable and cool compared to gaming headphones.
Negative/Positive:
- They have perfect noise isolation. Obviously, this is also the selling point of closed-back headphones, but it's too soundproof. Both the sound you will hear from the console (it doesn't "leak" outside, zero bleed on the microphone). But also the sound from external sources. If I wear them and listen to something, even a podcast (not necessarily loud music), with someone next to me shouting at me, I can't hear them. They have to shout very loudly for me to hear.
Edit: I just want to add that they connect normally to a regular motherboard jack on a PC without needing an amplifier at all. They will definitely give a louder sound with a sound card and using the 6.5mm plug, but personally, I didn't need it in terms of volume.
It is not random that all studios worldwide use the 770. Even in podcasts. Light, satisfactory, and more than enough at all levels. I would buy them every time. I preferred them after a long market research and having seen hundreds of reviews. 770 blindly!!
First time I buy such expensive headphones and I don't regret it at all. Firstly, the headphones are extremely comfortable, which is very important to me, and the build quality is very good with high quality. The sound is very loud and very clear, but what impressed me the most is the bass, as it is properly balanced. The cable is 3 meters long and it also comes with an adapter so you can connect them to a console or an amp.
Truly incredible headphones for their price!! Worth every euro!
I am not the greatest expert in the field and neither a professional, only music serves as my hobby.
I have connected them to a U-PHORIA UMC22 and in my ears, any song I have played on these headphones has noticeably changed from the previous headphones I had.
The sound is quite beautiful with a good balance of bass and highs. I would like the mids to be a bit more pronounced, but it may also be a personal preference.
Overall, for someone like me who wouldn't easily go for 600 euro solutions, it provides an exceptional music experience.
I don't have any other pairs of good headphones to compare sound quality, but I can say that I have no complaints about their price. Generally, they require parametric EQ, but there are presets for these specific headphones on the internet and with a little tweaking, I brought them to where I wanted them.
In terms of construction, they are not as advanced as some other headphones where:
- The design is simply a comfortable pair of headphones that do not fold for easy transportation.
- The cable is excessively long for most cases. (I have tied it with Velcro and now I have no problem) There are also several guides on the internet on how to change it to a detachable cable.
- The good thing, however, is that there are replacement parts for almost all of their components on the BeyerDynamic website in case of damage.
In conclusion: These headphones have fewer features in terms of construction compared to others in their price range, but in terms of comfort, functionality, and sound quality, they were much better than I expected and I believe they are definitely worth their money.
There are no better headphones at this price. They are by far the best headphones in terms of sound quality and durability (in the range of 120-150 euros). I have had them for a year now and despite receiving rough treatment (constantly stepping on the cable with my chair), they are still in perfect condition. There is a reason why these headphones are found everywhere in studios...
They are worth it, they are very good and high quality, and indeed, once you put them on, it's hard to take them off, they are very comfortable and have a very nice feeling in the ears, and from what I read on foreign forums, they are headphones that last for years without breaking. So yes, the 128 I bought are worth it.
I have Bluetooth earbuds that cost 180 euros and another pair of headphones that cost 99 euros, those of 99 euros seem like I bought them from Chinese people for 15 euros compared to the DT 770 Pro. And at the same time, they have the same sound and quality as the 180 euro ones I have.
The only downside I encountered with the 80 ohms I bought is that I plugged them into my PC and also into the TV, and I was very surprised that they didn't sound loud! I thought with the 80 ohms they would be at least decent, if not very good. To understand, at 100% volume, it was like the 40%-30% volume of my other headphones! Even today, I don't know why, since no one mentions it in any comment, so maybe it's just me? Although I don't think so. However, I was already on the verge of buying an external sound card and I waited for a week and now everything is fine, and I don't think I will change headphones anymore. They are really good. If you want my opinion, research well which ohm you will get, because even with the sound card, I have them at 75% volume. It's not necessarily bad to have them at 75% volume, just to understand what's going on with the Ohm.
