    I ordered the Professional "RODE Condenser Microphone 3.5mm Stereo VideoMic"
    Tuesday, November 1, 2022
    I just received it in the morning.

    At first glance, the packaging of the microphone from the bottom looked worn out.
    Now, was it due to the movement of the box on the shelves because of the store's rearrangement? I don't know.
    The security stickers (films) were fine, though.
    There was no manual inside the packaging. Was it not included by the factory?
    I don't know. Maybe they didn't deem it necessary. I can't say anything.
    Upon a second glance, taking the microphone out of the little bag, the first thing you realize as soon as you hold it in your hands is, "Oh, it's much heavier than it looks in the photo."
    You say okay, it's heavy. (Indeed, it has a weight that makes you think - but it doesn't worry you).
    Just on a camcorder like mine (Sony AX33) or a DSLR camera, it will add extra weight, but you will know very well that you have in your hands an "Absolute Sound Tool" that will capture sounds in your videos that will be from another planet, as we say
    (in relation always to the built-in microphone of the camcorder or the DSLR camera).
    The anti-wind furry elastic sponge of the microphone is very good, with a hair that if you grab it, you think it came from the hairdresser.
    Now, if it needs hairdressing services, such as:
    * Washing
    * Gel
    * Styling
    * Drying
    ...I really don't know (Hehehe).
    This doesn't mean that you shouldn't be careful not to get it dirty or generally ruin the microphone's "anti-wind" feature.
    Of course, you wouldn't use this "anti-wind" feature of the microphone, for example, in a mine with dust, or in a place where it will get wet or will generally have a lot of sun or humidity. Heaven forbid.
    You try to keep it as clean as possible in the recording space.

    P.S.: At this moment, having just received it, I haven't tested it. I don't have anything at this moment that I need to run for video recording with my camcorder or DSLR camera.
    As soon as I use it, I will come back to add the additional experience and with the sound capture from this specific microphone...

    UPDATE DECEMBER 14, 2024
    I reduce it to 4 STARS (I consider the capital letters as underlining - not shouting) for this specific microphone, because while it is very good in terms of construction in general, and sound capture...
    ...a couple of months ago, I think, maybe a bit more, the battery cover broke.
    That is:
    Where it originally slid OUTWARDS and then you LIFTED the cover to place the battery, suddenly one day when I came home from a video shoot I did outside in the city, I saw that the battery cover was NOT SLIDING OUTWARDS (so that you could then LIFT it).
    It was as if something had gotten stuck inside it.
    So with my nails, I PULLED IT OUT with a lot of force... It opened, I LIFTED it, and that was it.
    Well, since that day, whenever I use the microphone, I ONLY CLOSE THE BATTERY COVER. I DO NOT SLIDE IT INWARDS (so it doesn't get stuck, because then you need crazy force with your nail to slide it out to lift/open the cover).
    Not that it doesn't look nice like this, heaven forbid.
    It's just that the only difference from before is that while the COVER IS CLOSED, it cannot be SLID ALL THE WAY. I SLIDE it a "BIT" as we say but not all the way.
    And it simply has a little line at the end, a gap as we say.
    So instead of closing (at the slide) hypothetically at number 100, let's say, it closes at 98, and there is a gap, a little line of emptiness, between the cap and the microphone. That's it. Maybe some spring inside came loose? Some little piece? I don't know. However, shaking the microphone with my hand, nothing can be heard. But I DO NOT REGRET THE PURCHASE of the microphone, not at all. This microphone does wonders.
