I was looking for a blender when I started introducing solid foods. I was lucky to find this particular device, which is ALSO a steamer! Specifically, I cut the various foods into small pieces, put them in the special basket, and turn the selector to the steamer. When the food is ready, a distinctive sound is heard and the steamer stops automatically. I turn the basket upside down and it turns into a blender. So simple!
Highly recommended, excellent device and excellent build quality.
Very nice, it frees up your hands! Very difficult to clean. After 9 months of daily use, unfortunately, a piece broke off the water inlet cap that kept the lid closed when boiling.
An essential tool for new parents. It grinds, cooks, everything. It doesn't last very long because with cooking and the dishwasher it gets damaged relatively quickly. But when I had to decide for the 2nd child, I got the same one. It never worried us about the children's food and cooked excellently.
One of the best investment I made for the kids.
Both my kids used the same machine.
It is a steamer and blender.
Vegetables, fruits, meat, you can mix anything and make perfect and healthy food for the kids
Excellent choice for baby cooking! Fast, easy, and without much mess. Meat, chicken, and fish, just like in the classic pot method, require two rounds (which means a total of 40 minutes). No problem with that, as it seems quite reasonable to me. Vegetables are perfect with just 20 minutes. The result is exactly what is needed, that is, puree. After 3 months of use, I can confidently say that I would buy it again. As for cleaning, it requires a little attention to detail, but it's manageable. I dedicate a little more time to it once a week and it stays in good condition. Finally, when it comes to cutting the pieces to fit in the container, it's not a big deal, you just don't put them in whole, like you would in a pot.
I was not satisfied, a lot of noise for nothing.. No matter how small I cut the meat pieces (we are talking about cubes of 1-2 cm, you have to put your soul into cutting them), one cycle is still not enough to cook them, you need 2 for sure, sometimes even 3.. So you sit there and carefully cut them so small that they still don't cook.... Sometimes the blades just spin without cutting or get stuck and don't even move. Using it 3 times a week for 3-4 months, it's ridiculous. Also, it's very difficult to clean. A thousand times a small pot and a classic knife.
The blender makes a lot of noise. I bought it mainly for the convenience they say about the steam cooker in combination with the blender. The child in the next room was scared when I was blending things in it. As for the steam cooker, I have no comment to make. The only thing is that if you want to add some spices to give flavor to the tasteless food of the steam cooker, you can't because it gets trapped in the lid and it's difficult to clean afterwards.
After two years of having it, the only negative, which is serious, is that the interior of the blades corrodes very easily. We have already replaced it once and the second one broke as well. The use is with foods that meet the specifications. Also, the service that covers my area is not the best. To bring the spare part, they kept the steamer without needing to.
As for cooking, it's just fine. If you have a food processor or blender, you won't have an issue even if the blades break.
Ideal for new moms who have no experience and time!
100% product that I would buy again without a second thought.
I lost part of the valve but easily found a replacement.
We used it for our daughter while she was eating mashed food. Amazing machine, I could even prepare her food without stress and safely.
We divided the veal into portions, we had already chopped it finely beforehand, I cleaned the vegetables we wanted to give her, and in half an hour her food was ready. Everything in one device, takes up little space, easy to clean.
The plastic parts, because they can stain with vegetables, we made sure to put the jug in water as soon as we finished cooking, and we had no problems.
First month of use Excellent
From the second month, the decline began
At first, it did not "cut well, resulting in not cutting unless it is at an angle"
At the end of the second month, it started to "lose" performance and the food was more mashed than creamed.
Cooking the meat took two or three times as it was still red inside.
However, the second time you used the steam cooker, water came out inside the meat and boiled it.
Three months of use and now the knives are dull and it doesn't even cut butter.
I'm going for warranty and I'll return to complete the evaluation.
Very practical, cooks vegetables very easily and quickly, but not meat and chicken. Also, after a month of use, there is still a plastic smell when the blades are used
When I first got it, I was extremely satisfied. Fast, easy, and healthy. However, over time I have to mention that besides the extremely difficult cleaning, it cracked. I searched for replacements and it's clear that it's worth getting a new one.
I had bought it 12 years ago, when my little one started eating solid food. As long as the child was small, it served me incredibly well. When I used to dirty pots and blenders to cook for the baby and had to wait on top of the pot to see when his food would be ready, suddenly, with one utensil, I did everything with very little effort. When the little one stopped eating purees, I hid it for the second child. What impressed me the most was the quality of the cutting. With the blender, many times there were small pieces of food left, which it hadn't blended. But with the Avent, everything was perfect. After years, when the blender broke while I was cooking, I remembered the Avent and put it to use. Since then, for about 5 years now, I use it daily as a blender. It still works exceptionally well, with the same quality of cutting, just like the first day.
It is the ultimate tool for the kitchen, mainly for baby food but I also cook meat with vegetables or just vegetables or if I want something sweet I add fruits and make various dishes. It is a bit expensive of course. I bought it used because I wouldn't pay 110 euros. Also, it's different to boil them in a pot as you say in the comments and to steam them. They come out more nutritious when steamed. As for the cleaning that many of you say it stains, if you use citric acid that you can find in the spices, it does what it says, it becomes as good as new
I am absolutely satisfied with its functions and it is a must-have appliance for new parents!!! We enjoyed it so much that it is the first gift we give to our friends with young children...
Necessary? No... Helpful? Absolutely!!!
I used it for 5 months. Overall, I was very satisfied because you put in the water, the food, and "forget" about it. It's a bit annoying that when it finishes, it beeps because if you don't close it, it keeps beeping... Anyway. The 3 stars are for the spare parts... They don't exist anywhere! I lost the small round plastic piece that the steam comes out of and although it's nothing (be careful, it's easily lost during washing), the whole steam cooker becomes useless. Wherever I asked, they told me that they don't sell it separately, I have to buy the whole jug. If I have to buy the whole thing with this cost, I'll just get a new steam cooker.
A purchase that is absolutely worth it!! I address all the mothers who have babies and don't have time to do many things, due to circumstances.. This machine will solve your hands! It has helped me excessively! It boils all vegetables and meat (goat, lamb, chicken, beef) in just 20'!! Then, you turn the pitcher upside down and grind it. Amazing machine. It is relatively easy to clean, many times only with water. The white parts of the pitcher are natural to take color from the food, as fruits and vegetables are known to stain even clothes! Let's not be excessive about this and let's focus on the fact that a new mother with so many duties, spends only 5' to clean the vegetables/fruits, the rest is taken care of by this wonderful machine! I recommend it to every new mother!!!!
It is easy to use, convenient. The blender makes a little noise but it is normal! It is easy to clean, I had read comments that it is difficult to clean but it is not true! The store all for babies was very helpful, they responded immediately to the email I sent with two questions, they also sent me a video.
They gave it to me as a gift. I never used the blender function as I didn't feed my baby pureed food. As a steamer, it works great. I put large pieces of vegetables so that the child can hold them and they cook exceptionally well in the times indicated in the instructions. The only difference is with cauliflower and broccoli, which take 7-8 minutes and if you follow the cooking instructions, they become mushy. As for cleaning, in the difficult areas of the lid, I use a brush or a toothbrush
Excellent for its purpose. It holds approximately two meals of 150ml each. Once the steamer is finished, we remove some water because otherwise the food becomes too watery. It is very good because it has many safety measures and it only starts if the lid is closed correctly
Purchased since 2015, it has raised 3 children and continues to do so. My 2 children and a friend's child now use it, without presenting any problems at all. Incredibly convenient. The only thing that troubles you is the internal cleaning. The lid and the blade part, from the vegetables and fruits, seem as if it is watering and although I tried in vain with many natural ways to restore it (see vinegar, soda, etc.), I finally managed it only with a harsh cleaner. However, it still saves your hands in meal preparation, quick, efficient, and without filling the sink with many dishes!
It's nice that it combines steam and blender, but it's not easy to clean at all! This is where it loses all its value. I was really disappointed. The color from the vegetables stains the plastic, and there are residues left on the lid that are very difficult to remove. I'm sorry I spent so much money.
And after searching and recommendations from friends, we bought it.
In the difficulty that most people mention about cleaning, it does indeed require some strength to detach the green plastic from the lid, but overall it cleans easily. What no one mentioned and bothered us a lot, hence the 3 stars, is that to use it as a blender, you need both hands. Meaning that a product designed for a parent, the parent has to leave the child somewhere to use the blender. Whereas with a classic old one that we have, you can operate it perfectly with one hand.
Maybe ours is defective, but overall it is not clear that it attaches somehow firmly/sturdily and then you choose one of its 2 functions...
I enjoyed it as a product, although I used it a little. The only thing I didn't put was the meat (buffalo) because the fibers remained. It's a bit expensive, so if you have someone to lend it to you, it would be perfect!
It served me quite well. I mainly use it for cooking vegetables and meat.
I just needed it for less time than I thought, so it quickly ended up on the shelf.
It makes baby cooking, a game! It cooks meat in 20 minutes if you cut it into small pieces before putting it in. It retains all the vitamins in the food as long as it is steamed. You only have to wash this. Cooking and grinding in the same container!
