The role of this work is to contribute to the preparation of those who wish to enter the music departments of Greek universities. We clarify that this is not a manual of harmony or music theory. However, we aspire for this book to help significantly increase the candidates' chances of success. This can only happen if they already have a solid foundation in music education from the music high schools or conservatories where they studied. The work is divided into two parts. The first deals with harmony. Here you can find - for the first time - all the harmony exam topics from 1986 to 2010. The second part deals with the music listening skills test. Here you will find all the music listening skills tests from 2003 to 2010, as well as 10 of our own tests created based on the requirements set by the Ministry of Education. To help the student understand exactly how the listening tests work and what 'secrets' arise in the effort to recognize various intervals, chords, etc., the book is accompanied by two compact discs (CDs). The first contains the performances of our 10 tests, and the second the actual performance of the 2005 music listening skills test. We believe these two discs can significantly contribute to familiarizing candidates with exam conditions. Finally, among the useful tables in the work is the one with the admission bases for the four music universities in the country from 2000 to 2010.
