So first time Saucony and I am quite satisfied.. much softer than gel nimbus and Clifton 7 that I have, but that's what I was looking for because I have a big issue with my metatarsals and pain due to overloading! Good construction quality, good arch support, great shock absorption, same size as my Asics... the only negative thing I could say is that the fabric doesn't have as good breathability as other running shoes! I use them for walking and casual running... for someone who wants long distances and intense training, the not so low drop might bother them as Hoka shoes have (thus also great energy return) and it will probably be hot in the summer! I got them for 67e with the Skroutz basket and they are worth every euro, of course, even up to the 80 they range!
Purchased on sale for €74. I bought them for long runs, to rack up miles on my speed 3 shoes. They are very comfortable, effectively absorb shocks, and have the expected size (go for your regular size).
They don't have the same energy return as the speed shoes (obviously). They are suitable for a pace up to 5:00, maybe 4:55/km if we're talking about long-distance running like mine. If someone gets them for shorter distances, for example up to 10 km, they can go a bit faster. However, at a pace of 4:55-5:00/km, after an hour and a half, I feel like I'm running in mud, essentially weighing down my legs, resulting in fatigue and lower performance or greater effort.
A nice feature is the loop on the heel, which makes it easier to put on the shoe. It is elastic and "gathers" so that it doesn't "fly off" or hang like in other "regular" athletic shoes.
Additionally, they are not at all flexible. They don't bend or break. Maybe it's because I bought the runshield version (waterproof). Anyway, they are not flexible, they are rigid.
Furthermore, they don't breathe at all. Again, maybe it's because of the runshield version.
In conclusion, they are a good and affordable option to save miles on the main and presumably more expensive shoe. They can also be the go-to choice for cold and/or rainy winter days when a good and intense workout is not possible, but the need to stay connected to training remains.
Bought for 80 euros. It is for medium distances and has great and good energy return. Good fabric with breathability and a tongue with elastic, it has heel protection. The sole is very good with a soft tread and very good grip on all surfaces. It is suitable for intense training, although for me, who have slightly odd feet, they don't fit as well but they don't squeeze or hurt me either.
