HOW IT WORKS: There is a tiny integrated circuit (IC) inside the magic circuit unit. The integrated circuit detects when a conductive medium, such as a pencil line, connects the two terminals, creating a closed circuit. The pencil line contains graphite, which is made of carbon and conducts electricity very well. When the rings touch the two dots at each end of a line on the circuit card, the circuit is completed, activating the buzzer and the lamp.
