I wanted a small extension to protect the USB port of my TV from constantly plugging and unplugging the hard drive I use for recording. I leave it permanently attached to the TV and connect the hard drive to it. It's much better to have something of such low value break than having to repair a 65-inch OLED TV. The cable looks very sturdy and doesn't cause any connection issues like I had before with a half-meter USB2 cable. It's excellent for the job I need it for
