Following is a detailed review of my experience with the AirPods Pro 2 (purchased through Skroutz for approximately €280).
SOUND QUALITY (5/5):
I have tested them with various genres of music and I was pleasantly surprised by their quality. Their strong points would be the balanced sound and the clear bass.
NOISE REDUCTION - ANC (4.5/5):
When I activate the active noise cancelling, it feels like diving my head into the sea. They completely block out mild continuous noises such as fans, refrigerators, or the hustle and bustle of a street. They are less effective with louder noises such as an electric vacuum cleaner. What impressed me is that, unlike other headphones I have tried, the ANC does not bother me at all and I don't feel that characteristic pressure in my ears.
TRANSPARENCY MODE (4.5/5):
For those who don't know, I am referring to the function that allows you to open the microphones and hear what's happening around you. In contrast to other headphones, the AirPods reproduce the surrounding sounds very naturally, and it's about 90% of how you would hear without wearing any headphones. It's not perfect, but it works very well.
MICROPHONES: I don't know what score to give because I haven't recorded myself, but in all the calls I have made, everyone tells me that they can hear me very clearly and without any issues.
SPATIAL AUDIO (4/5):
This is the most difficult to rate. When it works correctly, it is truly an impressive experience. In movies, you feel like you are inside the action, while in music, it feels like you are somewhere in the orchestra. The problem is that this feature is not available everywhere, so you can't enjoy it more often. Also, songs on Apple Music that support Dolby Atmos often sound better with spatial audio turned off. I deduct one star because it's not consistent.
COMFORT (5/5):
This is subjective, but they are very comfortable in my ears. The box includes 4 different sizes of ear tips that you can test to ensure a proper fit through the AirPods settings. Also, in my daily life, I haven't experienced them falling out of my ears. I often forget that I'm wearing them.
BATTERY (5/5):
I don't really pay much attention to their charging. Also, I don't think there are many people who listen to music with ANC ON continuously for 6 hours to deplete their battery. But even if they need charging, they charge extremely fast in their case.
COOL FEATURES:
- They are the first AirPods that allow you to adjust the volume directly from the earphone by tapping the areas where you normally press for play, pause, etc.
- If you have multiple Apple devices, they connect simultaneously to all of them and automatically switch the audio source depending on where you are playing something.
- Their case has a speaker and the AirTag chip, making it easy to find in case of loss.
- On an Apple device, you can connect more than one pair of headphones, so that a second person can hear what you're hearing.
- With the notch camera, you can scan your head and ears to have personalized spatial audio (although I haven't noticed a significant difference).
- They have a feature that senses where your phone is in the room and gives you the sensation that the sound is coming from there, as if you weren't wearing headphones.
- When in transparency mode, they can reduce loud sounds so that you don't strain your hearing.
- You can spy on people by leaving your iPhone somewhere and listening to whatever the phone's microphone picks up from a distance (LOL).
NEGATIVES:
- Price. Objectively, almost 300€ for wireless earbuds puts them in the expensive category. Whether they are worth that much money depends solely on someone's needs.
- Although they can connect to any device and operating system via Bluetooth, to unlock all their features, you will need an Apple device.
CONCLUSION:
If you have an Apple device and find the points mentioned above important, and the price doesn't seem excessively high to you, then you should get them without hesitation. If you don't care about ANC or don't like silicone ear tips, then it's better to consider the AirPods 3, which are also cheaper. Finally, the first generation AirPods Pro have many common features and if you find them at a good price, they might offer better value for money at the moment.
I have had the headphones for a week and they are the most comfortable in-ear ones I have ever worn. I started with Xiaomi for 10 euros (1.5 years of use), Huawei FreeBuds Pro for 80 euros (1 year of use) but now I understand why they have triple the price, for their nonexistent weight and their ergonomics inside the ear.
The sound for podcasts that I constantly listen to and occasionally chill study beats via Spotify is very good. It works perfectly with iPhone 13 and Macbook Air M1, for example, when I’m listening to something on the laptop but I get a call on my phone, the switch to the call happens as soon as I select the headphones (2 taps), with 0 delays in sound from the caller.
I bought them because I spend many hours on the computer and anything else I knew would tire me. While for example the Huawei FreeBuds have excellent sound and fit well in the ear, after 1 hour you definitely have to take them off for about 20 minutes. These specific Airpods, for my ear at least, I feel like I’m not even wearing them many times. I have even forgotten to take them off while cooking or doing house chores!
As for the noise cancellation and the volume up/down functions, double click on the right to skip forward 30 seconds in the podcast (similarly 30 seconds back from the left earbud) as well as the single click for answering/declining calls, I don’t have anything specific to say. It is exactly what the functions describe/advertise and one would expect from 230 euro headphones.
Having therefore a total of 6-8 hours a day on the computer from now and for at least the next 2 years due to my studies, I decided to make this specific investment. I will return to complete my review for any updates.
Update 31/8/2023: I wear them daily at the gym and they do not budge at all. I don’t do crossfit to flail around like an octopus but they definitely hook perfectly in the ear without causing discomfort during the 1-1.5 hour workout. Also, one day the left earbud got stuck and stopped responding to any touch commands while the phone did not recognize it even though I was wearing it. With an unpair-pair with the phone, it worked again without any problem. iOS 17.0
Update 2/7/2024: The left earbud suddenly stopped working!
Update 2/8/2024 (1 year and 1 month of use): They were sent back under warranty and we are waiting. Unacceptable quality and durability so far for 240 euro headphones. I will return for updates.
Update (11/9/2024) (1 year and 2 months of use): Some kind of repair was done by the service. However, it should be noted that it was not a replacement. Since they arrived, I have not been able to connect them to the Windows 11 Pro computer. I tried everything available online but also on 3 different computers without success. I remove another star for this unpleasant experience. It's a shame because I paid a fortune for them. Now I only have them for podcasts on the go and at all other times I use the Q45 from Soundcore by Anker at half the price, which are amazing!
The Apple AirPods Pro 2nd generation offer excellent sound quality, with strong active noise cancellation and improved sound compared to the previous generation. I am a professional in the field of sound. I did not make this purchase for my work, however, I have to say:
1) IMPRESSIVE sound. I have in-ear monitors that cost a thousand, and I was more impressed with the AirPods when I heard them.
2) IMPRESSIVE noise cancellation. Here I have no point of comparison, but it is delightful!
Simply unbeatable. The reason to leave Android and switch to iOS. This is also the only downside, that they work better with this platform (to have all the features)
I had the AirPods Pro 1… after 3 years I switched to 2… Apple quality, the well-known for everyone who has the Air headphones… I would like a visual difference in the ear to distinguish that you have the 2 from the 1

After almost a year, I can say that it is worth every penny.
When they came out, they were among the best headphones. 2 years later they broke while sitting on my desk, without me using them. During their lifespan, they had quite a few bugs that seemed to be fixed with hidden updates. I have no desire or inclination to spend €300 every 1-2 years on headphones, and Apple has become a money-hungry clown company, so even with another brand you will lose features like hands-free commands... It is very sad that they have the best hardware and the worst policies and motives.
It's funny that after exactly one year of use, the headphones stop working properly. As soon as the warranty on the headphones expires, the problems immediately begin.
Unacceptable.
I won't buy AirPods again.

Hey Apple, how did you fool us like this?
Almost 6 months after purchasing them and with continuous use, I haven't seen worse value for money headphones. I previously had the regular AirPods (2nd generation), which had the well-known microphone malfunction issue after a period of use. I thought I'd go for something more upgraded, and unfortunately, I did with these specific headphones. Some of the quite a few (and more frustrating) problems that did not occur with the 2.5 times cheaper 2nd generation are as follows:
1. They disconnect often even during a call.
2. There is no automatic connection in several cases when they are put in the ears, while the solution is to disconnect and reconnect, which is very annoying.
3. Connection switching issues with other devices.
4. While they show as connected, music playback doesn't start, and to make this happen, you have to disconnect and reconnect again.
5. A big positive of the automatic pause and playback of songs that existed in their predecessors works occasionally (aka whenever it remembers, usually not working and needing to be put back in the case and worn again).
6. The touch function for ending calls does not work even though it's set (this is the only one I don't know if it happens to everyone or just my device). Also, the double tap touch function for previous/next song does not work, but maybe I just couldn't find it. Definitely, in the regular 2nd generation, the setting was there and available.
All the previous issues unfortunately exist for other users as well from discussions I've had.
These are some of the issues that come to mind right now and that I managed to angrily think of on a warm Wednesday afternoon after disconnecting them 4 times during the day to manage to use them, reflecting on how much money I spent to endure all this.
On the positive side, both the noise cancelling and battery life and good sound quality (which admittedly exist), but with the competition today and the (significantly) increased price, the positives just seem to be gilding the pill. These save it and give it the extra star.
I will definitely try to sell them and would recommend the regular 2nd generation with my eyes closed!
While syncing with the phone, I found that the warranty had already been activated beforehand and it stated Oct. 2022, while I purchased the headphones in May 2023. Unacceptable!
I have been using them for about 1.5 years and the quality stays at a top level. Amazing noice cancellation. Very durable and water resistant. Careful, not water proof. The only negative is that after wearing them for more than an hour, the ear sweats and you need to swipe the wax out of them
One of the best headphones I have ever bought. They are very comfortable and completely cover you for long use without tiring your ears. The sound quality is amazing as I mainly use them for music.
Extremely good headphones, the active noise cancellation is amazing. But I will give it 3 stars because it is the worst for exercising. At least for me, as soon as you sweat a little, they come off very easily. I have tried all the "ear tips" that come in the package but there is no difference. Even during running, it will come off with a single head movement.
I have never worn better headphones with such quality construction and sound. I am very satisfied even though the price is a bit steep. I would have liked it to be around 150 to 180, but I still don't regret buying it. Easy connectivity and excellent sound, it should be noted that I am an iPhone user. If you don't have an iPhone, it's not worth it, I would suggest going for another product. You miss out on many features with these specific ones.
This is currently the top choice for Apple's in-ear headphones. The noise isolation with Active Noise Cancellation is quite good, reducing ambient noise by 27-35 dB (depending on the frequency). Moving on the subway becomes much quieter, as does walking on the street (be careful, it's better to have ANC on only if you're stationary, otherwise it's dangerous to have it active and not hear what's happening around you).
The transparency mode is also excellent, allowing you to hear your surroundings as if you weren't wearing them at all.
The battery life may not reach the promised 6 hours by Apple, but they usually last around 4 hours.
The sound quality is also top-notch, the best I have encountered so far in in-ear headphones that I have used.
As for the negatives:
The headphones charge very quickly in the case, but charging the case itself is a hassle, it takes many hours to fully charge. The charging percentage of the case increases by 5-10% per hour, which is a huge problem for anyone who wants to quickly charge both the headphones and the case and leave with them at 100%. Apple needs to do something about this issue, hopefully it will be resolved with the next generation of headphones.
Also, after 3 months, I noticed that there started to be problems with charging the right earbud (and I'm not the only one, Reddit is full of similar reports). From inserting and removing (no matter how carefully you do it), the contact where the earbud touches inside the case gradually becomes loose, and I had to carefully straighten it again with a sharp object. The same exact problem existed with the first AirPods Pro. Apple could make these contacts more robust and prevent them from becoming loose so easily just by placing the headphones.
I don't need to say much! Sound quality on another level, the ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) is truly unmatched! Finally, I can get on the metro/bus and listen to music without hearing any noise. If you have an iPhone, it's worth it 100%, I don't know which features are available on Android but Transparency and Adaptive are a big plus. With Transparency, you feel like you're not wearing headphones at all as the sound remains unchanged. Personally, I find the silicone tips more comfortable compared to the AirPods 2 I had, which would hurt my ears after a while. Additionally, the Conversation Recognition feature and direct sound control from the earphones are fantastic!
I use them for music and calls, the sound quality is very good, but what makes them even more exceptional is the active noise cancellation. I don't think I have used earphones that have such good ANC as these from Apple. Although the price is a bit high, I consider their quality to be very good. They fit perfectly in the ear and have never fallen out, even during relaxed running. The capacitive touch buttons they have are as sensitive as needed and have never been accidentally pressed by my hand or touching my ear.
I mainly use them with an Android device, the only problem I had was that their initial connectivity was a bit strange and they were not registered to any iCloud account, so if I lost them or they were stolen, there would be no way to recover them. After connecting them to an iPhone and a Mac, the AirPods were registered to my iCloud account and I haven't had any other issues since then.
Unfortunately, the settings for them on Android are very limited and I haven't found any third-party application that can do much. Unfortunately, there is no application that can save the settings, so you will need an iPhone or a Mac and periodically update the settings for each button.
Very good build quality, very accurate and nice sound, decent battery. BUT calls in outdoor areas are below average, about 1/5... any motorcycle or car passing by completely covers your voice and the other person can't hear you at all due to noise, they can only hear whoever else passes by. For use in libraries for music, gaming, and indoor calls, it's excellent, 5/5, but if you plan on making calls from outdoor areas and you're constantly on the go, choose something else. (Even while driving, calls are crystal clear with just one earphone)
The pair we got was fake and we had to go through a whole process for the seller to refund, including notifying Apple
Owner of the pro 1 for many years, which I changed because I had an issue with noise cancellation and transparency (it sounded like something had come loose internally during my movements).
Now, regarding the pro 2, everything is improved compared to the old ones. Classic, you don't even realize you're wearing them after hours, nice conversation awareness (lowering the volume when it detects you're speaking), although I prefer to pause the music if I happen to talk. The adaptive function is also very convenient at the gym.
As for the case, the addition of the speaker is great in case you lose it somewhere in the house or when the case doesn't have much battery left.
Now, regarding the sound, I wasn't blown away. It definitely has enhanced bass, but the sound seems quite muffled to me.
They are by far the best headphones I have tried! I consider them to be quite expensive, of course, but they provide high-quality conversations. I have tried several cheap ones and regretted it because I want my interlocutor to hear me without any problem. Also, the earbuds with the additional silicone fit my ear and I consider them suitable for every ear.
Very good headphones, I have them for gaming and calls, they are the best alternative to the Xiaomi Piston 3. As soon as I put them in my ears, I threw away the PISTON headphones. They are worth their money for someone who wants really great sound quality
Sound, connectivity, and the functions provided by the headphones all work perfectly. I would like them to have a bit more battery life and be more durable. The construction is very beautiful, like every Apple product, but the plastics are sensitive and small damages occur with everyday use, either in the charging case or in the headphones themselves...
Update. The plastics are of poor quality. I didn't expect them to be such low-quality plastics and to wear out so easily... it's a shame for the money I spent.
The best Airpods on the market by far! I was a user of the first generation Airpods Pro, and there is a huge difference in noise cancellation, better sound quality, and an extra 2.5 hours of battery life. Another nice addition is the speaker they have in case you drop them somewhere so you don't have to search for them. Find My and you can locate them directly, tested in a park and at home.
Positives:
+Excellent sound quality (both for conversation/conference and for music listening)
+Very good battery life
+Very good Noise Cancelation for environmental sounds that can cause loss of concentration - Bonus info / challenge: It managed to cancel out clarinets and dances from the upstairs floor of the apartment building at 4 in the morning. So it works if you have clarinet-playing neighbors.
+Excellent pairing/integration with Apple products (Tested on 12 Pro Max and 13 Pro Max)
Negatives:
-Price-quality ratio - Although time will tell 100%, the previous experience with first-generation AirPods Pro that my wife has and uses daily showed us that their long-term performance does not justify such a cost.
Those who have the AirPods Pro 1st generation will not notice any crazy differences. I am only satisfied with the battery life.

Very satisfied! Comfortable, very good sound quality, the battery lasts and it's very easy to change the tips according to the size of the ear (watch the video I uploaded). They are definitely expensive, but I think they are worth it. Especially if you exercise and listen to music/watch movies, you will love them.
Well, we're talking top quality here... it's unbelievable... I have a fan next to me and I can't hear anything, man... the sound is amazing... now, as for the application, what can I say... they fit very well in my ears, I would say, and with the test you do to see which ear tip to use, it came out good for me on the first try... no comparison to their clones, not even in size... so don't judge based on the application of a cheap clone... I believe these are good... the battery is great... easy connection... Apple is top-notch as always... but don't even dare to get these headphones or any Apple headphones if you don't have an iPhone... guys, it's not worth spending so much money if you don't fully utilize their capabilities... if you have Android, stay away... or completely change your ecosystem and join the Apple family
