For their price, they are excellent. I have been looking at them for a while and they are relatively unbeatable in this category if you want to get something good.
Excellent noise cancellation, very comfortable on the head once you get used to them (with a small exception of the headband that could be a little more padded, but if you wear them correctly, it's not an issue). Very good sound.
On an airplane, where I wanted to use them, they block about 5% of the noise and you can relax and watch a movie.
Unbelievable battery life to the point where I forget to charge them.
The headphones are very good in sound, calls, and noise cancelling. I have been using them for about 8 months daily mainly for team calls (around 6 hours a day) and unfortunately, without ever dropping them, the frame broke at the same spot on both sides and the cushion also came off. For this reason, I give it 2 stars. If it didn't have these significant issues, I would have given it 5 stars.
2 years of daily use: quality sound in headphones costing 100 euros. They compare well to the Sony counterparts (Sony WH-1000XM5) that cost 300 euros, and that says a lot by itself.
The battery easily lasts 8 hours of full use in case you want them for work. Although you won't be able to wear them for that long since your ear needs to breathe and you should take frequent breaks.
Lightweight, ideal for large heads, and a decent microphone in case you connect them to your mobile. The connectivity with the mobile (iPhone 13) and computer (Windows 11) is flawless. While listening to music, it stops playing and notifies you through your phone that you're receiving a call, and you can pick it up directly from there. The 240 euro AirPods I have struggle to do that!
Very good build quality, includes a carrying case which is very important for everyday use, and coming from Edifier bugs, you definitely need to get used to them.
I read a lot before buying them, but I didn't find anywhere a VERY IMPORTANT issue regarding the encoding to achieve the maximum possible sound quality "HiRes" that the headphones offer.
What is needed, therefore, is not to be an iPhone user...
Apple did its magic again by choosing the AAC protocol for all its devices which is NOT compatible with the LDAC protocol supported, primarily by the headphones, and generally by flagship Android devices down to the Xiaomi ones at €50.00. The only way to bypass the encoding part is through a wired connection, or to invest in a Fiio BT11 type Audio Transmitter Adapter (which might work, but will require ordering from abroad).
I tried them wirelessly with Android and was blown away!
The 4 stars, just in case I catch someone.
As a product overall, it deserves more than 5 stars at this price, you just need to be an Android user.
I got them because I work as a sound engineer and I need something to wear for the longer parts of events/live so I don't hear everything at the volumes they play. I mainly wanted them for their noise cancelling, which is excellent!! Much better than the galaxy buds pro that I also have in this area. They come with a nice case which I appreciated and I like that they work both wirelessly and wired. Without adjustment from the app, they don't sound good and you won't have control over the noise cancelling (there's an option between 5 different levels or automatic). Where in my opinion they lose in tone, they gain with the useful equalizer that the app has which is saved in the headphones and doesn't need to be connected to a specific phone to work with the equalizer you've created. Their battery is incredible, I haven't tested it continuously, but I've been using them for two days now for 6-7 hours a day and I'm still at 70%. The hearing ID test I did through their app with these to generate a good equalizer preset for my ears didn't work well but it doesn't bother me. In terms of build quality, they look cheap and plastic but that will show over time. While the noise cancelling is excellent and I loved it, the transparency mode where it reproduces outside sounds seems to be not so well tuned so it plays everything with way too many highs and I haven't found a way to adjust it like on the galaxy buds pro, however since I mainly wear them for the ANC it doesn't concern me. They don't have crazy bass but that doesn't bother me as long as I can make the sound quite balanced through the app. They have excellent connectivity so they connect faster and easier than my previous ones. They don't have the ability to play both wirelessly and wired at the same time, so as soon as the cable is plugged in, the Bluetooth turns off. I will return in a little while with an update.
The headphones are AMAZING.. I had some JBL ones before and also bought the Edifier W820NB (for my brother) which are very decent I must say, but THESE are on another level.. double the price (compared to Edifier) but the sound is UNCOMPARABLE.. I listen to songs that sound different with these headphones, fuller, I can now hear instruments in a song that I didn't know existed.. if you want amazing sound with strong bass and don't mind spending a little extra, this is it.. Also, when I'm on a call, I can hear others and they can hear me PERFECTLY. In terms of build quality, it's plastic but it's not the cheap plastic that feels like it will break, I have no complaints
Positives: Very good Noise Canceling (passive and active), good sound but nothing crazy. Huge battery life and fast charging. Good fit on ears and head. Good carrying case. Customizable Equalizer.
Negatives: The app does not show the battery percentage. You have to go to the devices connected via Bluetooth and still it only shows in increments of 10%. For example, 30, 40, 50, etc. When connected with a jack to a PC, it does not have noise canceling, at least I haven't found how to activate it. If worn for many hours, the ear cushions sweat a little, especially if you are not in an air-conditioned room.
Overall, I consider them value for money and would easily buy them again. The positives are many more and more important than the negatives.
Everything was fine until the plastic broke on its own, without being hit, without falling, without being pressed. Searching online, I found many users with the exact same problem. I spoke with the store where I bought them and they told me that the warranty does not cover breakage. I spoke with Anker and they told me that they would replace them if I had bought them from an authorized store, but now they can't do anything.
I read and watched many reviews on YouTube. While they have a pretty good noise canceling mechanism, its microphone is very bad. If you work in a space with other people, it does not isolate the sounds of the environment at all.
Good construction but for the money the sound is not satisfactory. Without adjustment the sound is borderline bad BUT you need to download the app and make personalized adjustments. It's a series of A/B Tests and the app creates an EQ depending on what you choose. After that, the headphones became completely different. Luckily because I was worried that I wasted my money
I got them to use mainly for work (lots of meetings) and a little gaming.
The sound is very good and they provide very good sound isolation, but they do not block external sounds well when I speak into the microphone, resulting in not being suitable for office work (my Microsoft LifeChat headset is better in this regard). Also, they are heavier than I would like.
Guys, they are a bit expensive but I wouldn't buy lower quality to save money and then have to search again. Everyone will of course buy the best they can. I wouldn't spend a thousand euros, for example, to buy headphones.
The important thing for me is the sound, that's why I give it 5 stars. The noise cancellation doesn't isolate as much as it should and in some cases it makes a hissing sound. The ears sweat a little in the heat and after a long time they feel heavy. But as I said before, sound is number one for me, so I won't deduct any stars. Satisfied, I would buy them again, and I forgot to mention, the battery is a beast, you forget the last time you charged it
With excellent performance in both calls and media, with ANC being highly intrusive, excellent build quality, and long battery life, they stand up well against the competition and fully justify the €150 required to purchase them. They are comfortable to use even after hours and are the best I have tried outdoors. The application is very good with many options. The only negative thing I found is that the equalizer, although it has many options for adjustment, they are not as pronounced in the music.
Excellent choice and value for money ANC headphones.
Obviously, I don't expect them to compete with the big players in the 300-350€ range, but they do what they promise.
They renovated the downstairs floor and with soft music+active ANC, I couldn't hear anything.
An inseparable companion for studying.
Maybe I would like the headband to be a little wider, so there is more cushioning in contact with the head. However, it's not something annoying.
I haven't had the chance to try them on a trip, but based on what I've seen so far, I don't see a reason why they wouldn't be excellent there as well.
The headphones were mainly purchased for studying in a noisy environment and not for music.
ANC:
It eliminates, almost, continuous noises (e.g. air conditioning, PC fan) and does a pretty good job at reducing conversation noise.
Transparency:
Decent functionality. I suppose it excels in office spaces.
Sound:
Average, as expected for wireless headphones. The headphones are obviously not intended for hi-fi listening.
Battery:
Good.
Comfort:
I was not satisfied at all in this aspect and would not recommend them to someone who intends to use them for long periods of time. The padding on the top of the head is almost nonexistent, and after just 15-20 minutes, the headphones become increasingly noticeable, forcing the user to constantly readjust them to relieve the part of the head that is being strained by their weight. But even at the ear area, the headphones are far from comfortable, causing discomfort to appear in a short period of time. For the sake of comparison, the JBL 510t headphones, which cost around 40-50 euros, are much more comfortable than these.
From me, it's a no.
update: After approximately two months of use, I come back to confirm that these headphones are a Chinese torture device for the head.
update 5/3/23: When you move your head, metallic parts inside the headphones can be heard rattling.
update 15/2/24: In ANC mode, sometimes the headphones produce a very loud screeching sound, which is probably feedback from the microphone. I have read about several similar incidents with ANC-capable headphones.
