Description

Fishing reel from Shimano, suitable for surf casting. It features 5 bearings that facilitate the movement of the main shaft. The reel drum rotates with a gear ratio of 6.2:1, which means that for one complete turn of the handle, the spool will make 6.2 rotations. The reel can hold 175m of 0.35mm thick line, and if a thicker line is used, the capacity in length is reduced.

The Hagane gears facilitate use in difficult conditions, while the X-ship increases retrieval power, maintaining smooth operation even under heavy load. It features 4 stainless steel bearings and 1 roller bearing for maximum performance. The G-Free body improves balance and reduces fatigue, while the Varispeed II distribution system and AR-C spool guarantee excellent casts.

Hagane Gear

The Hagane main gear is manufactured using Cold Forging technology, without the need for additional metalworking. This provides low weight, long-lasting smooth operation, strength, and power at the heart of the mechanism.

X-Ship

Technology that offers more stability as the spool gear:

Is positioned close to the main drive gear, thus transferring more power from the handle to the rotor.
Is supported by 2 A-RB bearings.

Free Body

With the Free Body design, the center of gravity of the mechanism has been shifted closer to the rod. By moving the center of gravity of the mechanism closer to the base of the rod, fatigue that occurs after many hours of fishing is reduced, while retrieval becomes even more comfortable.

Varispeed

The excellent distribution of the fishing line on the spool is the most essential feature for long and accurate casting. The revolutionary 'Varispeed' system consists of two gears. One is oval and the other is square. Only the highly specialized program created by Shimano can make the two gears work harmoniously. The result is the perfect parallel winding of the fishing line.

AR-C Spool

The AR-C has a special design with a conical lip at the edge, allowing the line to unwind with less friction and in smaller coils for longer and more accurate casts. The AR-C spools reduce tangles and knots due to wind, especially when using braid, and are now available in almost all Shimano reels.

Maintenance of Mechanism
