The VideoMic is a high-quality Shotgun microphone for on-camera use. It features a studio-grade condenser capsule and an extremely directional supercardioid polar pattern, as well as a high-pass filter and two-stage level control for capturing loud sound sources, making it an extremely versatile microphone that excels in a wide range of filming situations.

    Bought at €150, at this price I would not recommend it.
    However, now that the price is below €100, its performance is excellent for its value.

    The build quality seems quite cheap to me. However, overall it has lasted me 5 years.

    I was expecting a much better build quality from Røde. The plastic doesn't seem good to me, the 9V battery cover doesn't fit easily on my piece, and the cable is fixed on the microphone. As for the sound, I can't speak yet, I want to do some comparative tests and I will come back.
