  Bought yesterday, opened today and the stick drift was endless, I won't comment negatively for now because I know these are machines and it can happen to anyone, it's going back for a replacement and I will return when the new one arrives...
  27/12/2024 After replacement due to drifting, the new one arrived (and this one has drifting but to a minimal extent), I choose not to do anything for now because I'm tired of the hassle, I will change it again in the future before the warranty expires.
  In summary, it's a premium controller but very expensive for what it provides, I personally got it because I trust Sony blindly, I don't care at all about the battery because I play with the cable plugged in which is 2 meters long, the smaller capacity is definitely a downside but still okay.
  The difference that the paddles make is significant as I changed the entire layout for Warzone and it dramatically (for the better) changed my gameplay but it's not perfect as I would like, I'm still working on it.
  It's nice to be able to change button profiles with just one button without having to exit the game, it's also very useful that it gives you options for speed and precision of the sticks, I repeat it takes a lot of work until you find what suits you best.
  In summary: The positives are the completely different way of playing (for the better), you feel like you're holding a very good construction in your hands.
  The 2 negatives are 1) its price, I got it for €220 and the second and most important of all is that there are no stick modules available anywhere in the market in case they need to be replaced, unless you find them and they cost you along with shipping as much as a new DualSense 5 (for 1 piece)
  I will send the DualSense 5 I have for replacement to Hall Effect for €40 and if the job is done well, I will send the sticks of the Edge to solve my problem.

  4 stars because immediately after I tried it, the left gumb started sometimes going up or down by itself on the buy station in Cod, like it's broken. Another issue is that the white area under the controller is made from another material, so it became like dirty and impossible to clean it after only 2 months. Alsooo, it's mission impossible to find the spare parts, stick module that is the main reason why I bought this controller, so even after 25 euros price for that stick module, you can't find it nowhere on Greece and not even in whole Europe (on PS website is UNAVAILABLE also!!!) Overall, it's a good controller, very heavy, but not sure if it's worth the money...

  It's never worth the 230 euros! I've been playing Warzone for a year since I bought it, and it has started to have crazy stick drift, making it feel like a controller that's four years old or more... It's heavy, and the responsiveness of the other buttons (at least for this game) is extremely slow. Its battery performance has dropped a bit, but it's okay. I usually leave it charging in sleep mode overnight and unplug it in the morning, meaning I charge it when it shows one bar or shuts off, and it lasts for 3-4 hours of gameplay. Because it has all these extras, 100-120 euros would be a fair price, because I would rather spend an extra 50 euros to get a SCUF controller with back buttons than this. Also, if I have to change the sticks (the analogs, commonly) every year and want another 30 euros or however much they cost, we're done for... I don't particularly recommend it.

  One reason I bought this particular controller was the fact that SONY advertises that you can change the sticks in case of stick drift so you can keep playing and not spend €60 every time for a new controller.

  Now that I have stick drift on the left stick, I go to search and there is nowhere to be found the replacement module! All the retailers have it "out of stock", in some, while the page appears on Google as a result, when you click it, it takes you to "404 not found", resulting in me having spent €200 for nothing. What am I supposed to do with the back buttons now that I have stick drift and no replacement? And we are 1 year after its release, so what will happen in 2-3 years from now??

The cross and square buttons do not look different, but the wheels sit better than the regular ones.   I have been playing COD for years and I have always been looking for a GOOD controller.

  Deadzone at 0 forever...., there is no competition when to have this you need to buy controllers by the kilo compared to any other custom controller.

  If you are also considering Digital taps/smart triggers, don't worry, the button quality is so good that the response is sufficient. And with overclocking, you are okay.

  As for the battery, yes it is small, but it is not for the gamer who sits relaxed on the couch. It is for someone who sits in front of the screen and wants low latency through a cable. (The fact that we hear comments about its battery is irrelevant).

  WARNING: To adjust the special settings that the controller has and even to do a simple keybind on the back paddles, you need a PS5 !! If you don't have a PS5* it's like getting a regular controller. Something that should be mentioned in big red letters somewhere.... e.g. for PC users.....

  As a design, it is fantastic, nice heavy controller and tremendous in performance. The great thing is that you can easily change the joysticks without having to buy the controller again and spend all the money. Also, very good quality, I saw the hard case to protect it while charging and inside the case. The only thing that bothers me is its battery, you may say yes, but it gives you a long cable to charge it as the cable can lock onto the controller and not come off easily. The battery lasts about 7 hours, depending on the functions you have given it and how you use them. Now, whoever wants to have it wired will never have a problem, but someone who wants to have it wireless will need to charge it every 6-7 hours. In conclusion, I have no words, it is fantastic in every aspect, of course, we are talking about an expensive device, it is not for everyone, solely because of the price. Also, the paddles, as you know, can be easily adjusted from the back, which helps me a lot in Call of Duty. I hope I covered a large part of the questions that people have. Thank you

  Well, things are simple… if you're a gamer and have already ruined 3-4 DualSense controllers on the PS5 due to drifting… get the Edge to switch with €24 replacement analog sticks.

  From there on…

  Design: 10/10 just like the regular one

  Grip: 10/10 better than the regular one, especially on the inside where your fingers touch, it has a rougher surface so it doesn't slip. Update a year and a half later: the anti-slip surface has come off at the edges and cannot be fixed.

  Battery: 5/10 it's terrible… it lasts almost half the time of the regular one.

  Extra buttons: 8/10 only 2 are the triggers that you can add from the back to perform the same function as some of the existing old buttons. The long triggers it has are not comfortable at all, and you will exclusively use the 2nd option, the smaller ones. The other extra buttons in front of the analog sticks are only for changing profiles and some system functions like volume control.

  Response time reduction on L2 - R2 triggers: 8/10
  Okay, it has an option that shortens the trigger's travel, but still, at the end, there is a small gap.

  Accessories: 9/10 nice carrying case but I don't intend to take it out often. The long cable is good, but I would prefer a larger battery. Nice lock for the charging cable. Good extra options on the analog sticks, although I left the stock ones because I put my own grips on top.

  Value for money: 5/10 I price it around €150 - 180 max and not €250.

  What options do you have from the competition?
  You can go for Scuf starting at €220 for the PS5 with better battery life and 4 extra triggers, but you'll live with the risk of drifting on the analog sticks.

  UPDATE 17/11/24: DO NOT BUY!!!

  You won't find anywhere to get Edge module sticks for replacement. They have been out of stock from Sony for months!!! Sony is seriously fooling us as they released a pro controller and do not care about the availability of replacement parts.
