The publication of this book is the realization of an effort by the author that began in 1968, when he started practically dealing with the scientific-technical issues of Greek pig farming. Later, as a university professor, from the mid-1990s, he taught pig farming and trained students for several years with numerous annual visits to pig farming units, continuing to stay informed about the developments and practical problems of pig farming.
Thus, he wrote this book, believing that it could be useful to anyone interested and that its publication would contribute to satisfying the interest of a familiar readership in Greece.
The content of this book was selected with such care as to include the mainly necessary elements, the knowledge of which allows us to conduct a quick and as accurate as possible clinical diagnosis of a pig disease. However, it is well known that conducting a correct clinical diagnosis, simply because it can be quick, significantly contributes to the effectiveness of the treatment that will be administered.
