Description

With the inscrutable rotation that would follow a night sunflower, the art of Z. Z. - joyfully verified in this third book of hers, which is also her first novel - proves that one can write as if trying to break the world's spells or as if exorcising their solution. The pervasive theme of these stories: how one tastes honey on the axe, is also the answer to the narrator's fascinating weakness: unable to endure the languor of silence, she heals her silence with literature. The reader has the rare fortune to enter a heraldic world, where people exist like dissolved images, which are involved in the narrative fabric in the enigmatic way that a musical phrase unexpectedly infiltrates a painting. Reviews

  • When we talk about contemporary Greek literature, we can only talk about Z.Z.
Magical, light-shadowed, full of images that compose a wonderful surrealistic embroidered painting with threads weaving fairies and elves!
(I would name the trilogy "One Hundred Years of Solitude" in its Greek version)
I adore it and recommend all of her books!
