  I bought this product because a friend of mine with a similar skin type recommended it to me, meaning combination with acne tendencies. The first few times I used it, my skin was clear, my pimples reduced, and I felt like it was doing its job, although I was negatively impressed by its smell. Even though it claims to be odorless, it has a very strong scent, something like plastic. It didn't irritate my face, but it didn't moisturize it either. The next times I used it, my skin got incredibly irritated, turned red, and I felt like I was burning. I should mention that I don't have particularly sensitive skin. Of course, it contains a significant amount of salicylic acid, which may be responsible for the irritation. It didn't work for me at all, and I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone with sensitive skin.

  Not for sensitive skin.

  The third time I used it, something went wrong. It started destroying the moisture barrier of my face. Then I applied sunscreen and I was in pain from the burning sensation. It's a shame that you need an alternative face wash to use this. Finally, after leaving it aside for a while to calm my skin, it actually worked and the discoloration on my face had decreased. It's not a bad product if used in moderation and not continuously.

  It is a very good cleanser for everyday use (morning & evening) and it makes your face feel very clean after each use. It is definitely not a makeup remover! Do not get it for that purpose.
  I have combination to oily skin and I always had breakouts on my face, but in the last 2 months that I have been using it, the breakouts have significantly reduced, so I am very satisfied. I use it in combination with the cerave retinol and I think it is a good combination.
  The quantity of the packaging is huge and you need to use a minimal amount daily, so it is definitely worth it. It is definitely worth the money and the hype. For reference, I am 22 years old.

  I have tried ALL of Cerave's cleansers. The best by far. I have combination to oily skin and very sensitive. It works wonders. It contains niacinamide and salicylic acid. It cleanses and leaves the skin very soft. It doesn't sting my eyes at all. My skin doesn't feel tight afterwards. I just don't use it daily because of the salicylic acid.

  This product has confused me. For the past 4 years, I have used all the cleansers from Cerave, and I bought this one as a replacement for the "SA cleanser" with salicylic acid that exfoliates the skin and generally helps with acne, black spots, oiliness, and texture of the skin. It was one of the first products where I saw a huge difference in body acne, and I used it on my face as well, a few times a week.
  I don't know, in the end, how much it did more than the previous cleanser I mentioned. I'm mainly thinking if it was equally effective, especially as a product called "blemish control". I didn't see a reduction in back acne, in fact, I feel like it "swelled". It has a high concentration of salicylic acid, much higher than the previous one, especially for those with sensitive skin or who have never used a product with salicylic acid before, caution is needed. I have used other products and cleansers with this ingredient, and my skin "likes" it. As for dryness, etc., I don't have an opinion on the cleanser as I moisturize well after using it.
  Next time, I will probably prefer the SA cleanser again, as I feel like it does a much better job with less irritation.

  If you have combination or oily acne-prone skin, then this will suit you perfectly. I have sensitive combination skin with oiliness and pores in the T-zone. It didn't irritate me at all, I didn't see any redness afterwards. It didn't strip my skin. Simply flawless. Given that it contains 2% salicylic acid, I was initially afraid because it is a high concentration and not well tolerated even by oily skin. It doesn't foam much, you need to use a lot of product. But that's good because it doesn't contain SLS stripping agents that disrupt the skin's pH. It's not a makeup remover product, so don't expect it to remove makeup super well. Plus, it contains salicylic acid and anything with acids should never be used on the eyes. There are specialized products for that. I will compare it to the equivalent product from La Roche Posay, the Effaclar Micro Peeling with 2% salicylic acid, and this one. No comparison. I prefer Cerave because the other one has SLS and is generally a bit harsh.

  Very good, soft feeling, one click creates all the foam and it is enough for facial cleansing. Do not put it in your eyes, it stings, and finally, the smell is a bit strange but the feeling on the face afterwards and the hydration make it not bother me so much.
