  I bought them 6-7 months ago because my previous boots broke. There were 4 summer months in between that I didn't wear them, of course. The saleswoman assured me that they wouldn't break as long as I didn't take them off in the expected way, holding the sole to the ground with the other foot. However... even though I took care of them, after 3 months of actual use, their supposedly durable and thick sole tore and the entire back part detached from the sole.
