This review will be detailed, grab some popcorn and let's get started.
Long story short:
I am a chef and I am very involved with kitchen gadgets. Ninja offers affordable and quality solutions, close to those of Breville. I got the Ninja XL (29L) from Germany for €300 (€168+€133 shipping..). Despite the good features, the noise of the fan and the difficult cleaning disappointed me. I returned it and got the smaller SP101EU (8L) for €200 from Greece. Because it's worth it, I explain below:
-Speed: Heats up in seconds with halogen bulbs, saving a lot of time.
-Capacity: 8L, suitable for 2 servings. The small capacity can lose heat quickly if you open the door.
-Temperature: Stable, with small deviations up to 5°C, acceptable for an oven.
-Airfry: Average. Does not replace a good air fryer due to the small fan.
-Bake/Roast: Good, but care is needed when opening the door to avoid losing heat.
-Grill: Very good, offers even coloring.
-Dehydrate: Ideal for small quantities, starts from 40°C (while the XL started from 35°C).
-Keep Warm: Excellent does what it says.
-Toast/Bagel: Excellent and with a setting for how dark you want it. In Toast it quickly gives color top and bottom, while in Bagel it cooks more from the bottom to stay soft on top.
-Noise: The noise of the fan is somewhat annoying and high-frequency. It is not ideal for use at night, especially for dehydrate.
-Cleaning: Difficult. The walls are thin and the non-stick coating is of low quality, scratches easily. The bulbs and the fan collect dirt quickly and are hard to clean. Fortunately, the lid opens from the bottom and you can clean it somewhat better.
-Vertical rotation: It has back feet that you can rotate and it can stand upright on the counter for space-saving.
-SOS!!! Place a sheet of teflon on the baking tray to collect food residues and protect the tray. Cleaning is difficult if it gets dirty.
Conclusion:
I am satisfied with the purchase. It meets my needs, but if you are not heavily involved in cooking, there are more affordable options. The build quality could be better, but for American standards, it is a good choice.
High quality construction and very useful for many tasks. It is slightly larger than I thought.
