Kitchen faucets are manufactured in various finishes.

• The glossy chrome surface is the faucet's plating surface. Extremely durable and very easy to maintain. For cleaning, we recommend using the special FRANKE Tap Cleaner in combination with the general-purpose FRANKE Microfiber Care Cloth or with soapy water or dish detergents. To remove limescale, use a mixture of vinegar solution and water or a suitable limescale removal spray. Do not use abrasive cleaners or abrasive sponges under any circumstances, as this will damage the surface finish.
• The matte stainless steel surface is characteristic of faucets made entirely of stainless steel and is not plated or painted. Very durable and easy to maintain. For cleaning, we recommend using the special FRANKE Tap Cleaner spray in combination with the general-purpose FRANKE Microfiber Care Cloth or soapy water or detergents designed for dishwashing, or even liquid cleaning creams.
• PVD: PVD faucet coating excels in wear resistance. However, we do not recommend using abrasive cleaners for maintenance. To remove limescale, use a mixture of vinegar and water. For your maintenance, we recommend the special FRANKE Tap Cleaner spray in combination with the general-purpose FRANKE Microfiber Care Cloth or just soapy water or dish detergents.
• Stainless steel (surface treatment) and other colored and metallic surfaces are spray-painted with reinforced color, which are very prone to rough handling. If used carelessly, there may be faster abrasion and chipping of part of the colored surface (pot, pan, etc. impact). For cleaning, we recommend using the special FRANKE Tap Cleaner in combination with the general-purpose FRANKE Microfiber Care Cloth or just soapy water or dish detergents. Do not use liquid cleaning creams. Remove limescale gently after softening with a suitable agent (vinegar solution with water or limescale remover).

Never use dry powders or pastes to clean kitchen faucets. In areas with hard water, we recommend frequent cleaning of the faucet surface to prevent surface clogging from limescale. We also recommend regular cleaning of the aerator (screen) in the shower to prevent clogging with calcium limescale and thus limited water flow. In case of heavy aerator pollution, we recommend purchasing a new one from a DIY store, plumbing supplies, or from the Franke supplier.

Do not use detergents, solvents, chemicals, metal scrapers, alcohol, etc., to clean the faucet surface.
