Two-piece fishing rod from Sim Engineering, with a total length of 2.4m, suitable for light rock fishing (LRF). It features 2 sections and is ideal for long casts. It offers the ability to use thin fishing line and shows resistance to breakage, as the line passes with minimal friction between the aligned guides. The range of allowable weight for the sinker that can be used with this rod for casting ranges between 3-14 grams.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
The fishing rod is excellent with very good quality, it is beautiful and I paired it with a Shimano FX 2500HG reel. I am very satisfied!!!!
I had purchased the Sim Engineering Daisy LRF 2.10m fishing rod through skroutz on 11/02/21 and today I used it for the first time on 30/08/21 (due to quarantine, I was waiting for my summer vacation). I didn't have a chance to fish, as the rod broke on the second cast at a point that indicates material failure. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT!!!!!
Eventually, it was replaced, but I wouldn't recommend this product. With a little more money, you can get something more reliable.
I will conduct another test and update.
I bought this fishing rod this year and after only 10 fishing trips, it broke! I took it for repair and after two days it broke again!!! This specific product is a big rip-off and the material it is made of is terrible!!!! Do not buy it.
I got it for my son to learn the child. I believe it is cheap and affordable, just what the kids need to start learning the technique of lrf and if the little one makes a mistake and breaks it, it's not a big deal, it's cheap.
Amazing for its price!
Works with literally 1 gram of silicone!
Solid tip for instant nailing!
However, it does its best job with 4 grams (tested on artificial, silicone, and butterfly)
I have it for my little one for spinning and eging (up to 2.5 egi), it does its job just fine even though it's rough in casting, it doesn't understand anything.
Good perception of the artificial, not top-notch but reliable for its price.
I bought this rod in January 21 as my first rod for LRF, as I wanted to try the technique without spending too much money. The rod broke this year during casting. What concerned me, though, was that I bought the same rod for light spinning 5 - 25 cw and it broke on the first day of use, also during casting (and both times I was well below the max cw), so I will not recommend it for this reason. The rod, when you hold it in your hands, looks like a much more expensive rod, but in practice, it has nothing to do with it. The only thing that worked properly in my opinion was using 10g lures and poppers of the same weight. In other aspects, it lacked in casting and in the way it worked, as it was quite stiff.
I started using the LRF with this specific fishing rod in order to use artificial baits and lead heads for texas rig, etc. I preferred the 3-15gr. because I didn't know what sensitivity a lighter fishing rod would have, and because I tend to be a little careless with my rods, I was afraid of an even thinner tool.
Good construction, nice design, and with a Shimano FX2500 reel it seems to do its job. For starting this technique, it is a normal fishing rod, with an affordable price and good construction. However, after using it, I would change it for something for casting smaller sizes, e.g. 1-10gr, due to my preference for smaller silicone baits, which are too small for this specific fishing rod.
