Generally, I avoided this particular brand as I assumed that it's not worth paying so much for a simple fan, so I ended up with cheaper options until the last one made my computer sound like a turbine. And here comes Noctua once again and saves the day. It proves to you that you're not just paying for the brand, but also for the quality of the product. The cooling is three times better than the previous fan, and instead of the turbine sound, now you can't hear anything. The only exception is when it's running at full speed, but even then it's barely audible. It's definitely worth the money and more. One of the few reliable brands that are top-notch
For users who want to connect the fan directly to the PSU, there is the option to control the number of revolutions (RPM) at fixed values of 1200, 900, or 700 with the corresponding adapter-capacitor connection included in the package.
The only case in which the fan makes relatively little noise, and this without being particularly annoying, is when it operates at 1200 RPM (full speed).
I installed two high fans for air extraction in a 6-slot Server rack. Very good flow and very low noise.

I bought it in September 2015 and it has been working perfectly since then, and it is the quietest compared to any other I have tried with these features.

Guys, in the end, the fan in the case is an investment if you want to have proper temperatures and low noise.
(I have a total of four in the case and the PC works for about 10 hours a day, of which about 6 are for Blender rendering)....
I had bought the smaller 8mm ones and after seeing... I bought these... I finally got rid of the AWFUL CORSAIR AF Quiet (God bless them) And I put these ones here that have a higher flow, and they are much more beautiful and stand out from miles away, tremendous quality with rubber edges, with a package that includes everything from adapters to molex, silent adapters, etc. etc
