Quick Release Frames
With dual-layer quick release plates, mounting a camera on the RS 3 is quick and convenient, without needing to rebalance the gimbal after changing the battery or memory card.
A newly added fine-tuning knob on the tilt axis allows the camera to slide forward or backward with millimeter precision, making it easier to achieve accurate balance when changing lenses.
The RS 3 allows you to start operating immediately. When the gimbal is powered off, press and hold the power button and the three axes unlock while the gimbal automatically extends, allowing you to start working within seconds. Press the power button once, and the axes automatically lock and enter sleep mode, making transportation and travel significantly more efficient. Press and hold the power button and it will fold and lock automatically.
Applying dual-mode Bluetooth, the RS 3 supports wireless shutter control, saving time and effort with each use. After the initial Bluetooth pairing, you can control video and photo shooting simply by pressing the record button on the stabilizer. Previously connected cameras can automatically reconnect after the first use, eliminating the need for a camera control cable.
Weighing just 1.3 kg/2.8 lbs (including the gimbal, battery handle, and quick-release plates), the RS 3 can be easily held with one hand, while the 3kg/6.6lb load capacity is more than enough to support mainstream cameras such as the Sony A7S3 or Canon R5 with a 24-70mm F2.8 lens.
Thanks to a next-generation RS stabilization algorithm, the RS 3 provides improved stability in every scenario.
When you need even smoother results, activate the SuperSmooth function. The RS 3 will increase motor torque to further enhance stabilization, providing steady footage even in fast-moving scenarios or when using lenses with a focal length equivalent to 100 mm.
Compared to the black and white screen of the RSC 2, the RS 3 is equipped with a fully colored 1.8-inch OLED touchscreen with an 80% larger display. It also supports most of the Ronin app settings, providing intuitive and precise control along with the redesigned user interface.

By rotating the front dial, you can control the zoom or focus. It can also be adjusted to control the shutter, aperture, ISO, or the movements of the camera's gimbal, making it extremely convenient for one-handed operation.
The RS 3 supports the Ronin image transmitter (formerly known as the Ronin RavenEye image transmitter) for transmitting live HD 1080p/30fps streams directly to a mobile device. The maximum transmission distance is 200 meters and the end-to-end transmission delay is only 60 ms. A smartphone can also be connected to the RS 3's NATO port with the phone holder for wireless monitoring.
With the Ronin image transmitter, a smartphone can be used as a motion controller for the remote control of the RS 3 gimbal for more flexible and dynamic camera movements.
The new RS 3 battery grip features a quick-release design, making it easier to change batteries and smaller for storage compared to the RSC 2. It can even be charged independently from the gimbal.
The new battery grip provides extended operating time of up to 12 hours, enough to handle continuous shooting throughout the day. It supports 18W PD fast charging with a charging time of just 2.5 hours. It can even be used during charging to keep the RS 3 powered almost indefinitely.
The redesigned briefcase handle is foldable for convenient storage and comes with a new ergonomic handle for easier and faster setup and transition to briefcase mode. The integrated cold shoe mount and 1/4"-20 support screw can be attached to external monitors for shooting assistance, making low-angle camera movements more user-friendly.
The new generation DJI RS Focus Motor (2022) provides three times the torque (up to 1 N-m) and the acoustic noise is reduced by 50%. This offers a smoother focusing experience and reduces the impact on audio recording. It also adopts a quick-release structure, allowing for easy tool-free assembly for faster use.
Install the vertical camera mount to secure the camera vertically on the RS 3, avoiding the camera ports, allowing easy portrait shooting from different angles for high-quality social media content.
