What does the waterproof rating on camping tents indicate?
Waterproofing in a tent indicates how much water the outer fabric can repel. It is measured in millimeters (mm) and refers to how many millimeters of vertical water column (and therefore pressure) a square centimeter of fabric can withstand without being penetrated by water.
The higher the degree of waterproofing, the less breathable the fabric is, and therefore the warmer the tent. Common waterproofing values range from 500mm to 10000mm. Theoretically, any fabric with waterproofing >1000mm is considered waterproof. For example, a summer tent may have waterproofing from 500 to 1500mm.
What does the feature Polyester 190T mean?
T stands for Thread, which means fiber, and the number indicates the sum of the vertical and horizontal fibers in a square inch of fabric. The higher the Thread count, the denser the weave and the greater the durability of the fabric.

We have been camping for many years and this year we got this fantastic tent, so we don't have to set up two tents, as we have three children. Its fabrics, seams, zippers are of very good quality, as well as the screens, which have quite dense holes, so that ants do not get in. We set it up quite quickly. It is very spacious. In one room where we put the double mattress (1.56 width) we had space to step on both sides and on the lower side we had our suitcases and there was still enough space to use for changing. In the other room where the children sleep, we put two mattresses, one single and one semi-double, and again there was enough space between them. We used the middle room only to put our things. I highly recommend it.
The tent is really very good. It is particularly spacious: 2 very comfortable rooms with double mattresses and a corner hallway (and placement of nightstands and backpacks with clothes) as well as the central entrance area for use as storage space, placement of a refrigerator, small storage furniture, etc. Ideal for a family of 4-5 people. It has all the accessories (pegs, guy lines AND the poles for extending the entrance roof). Fortunately, during the 11 days of testing, the weather was ideal, so I cannot judge its resistance to rain. Its ventilation is quite / very good. Finally, it has plenty of hooks for lights, etc.
