It's fine, I use it for casual shoes so I don't have to tie and untie laces.
I can't use it for running anymore, I have to be careful with my shoes.
I don't know if they would hold up for running, I haven't tried it because I'm not interested.

It does the job it promises, sufficient length, even for boots. The clip that holds the ends of the laces doesn't require much force as the laces will come out easily.
