Reviews
I haven't had it for long, I wanted something quiet that could protect my computer and work from power outages. I have a computer with an 850w power supply and 2 monitors connected to it. Unfortunately, it didn't say anywhere that it includes a power cable from IEC to schuko, it only had IEC A/C, but I simply used the power supply cable. I consider it to be very good until it proves me wrong and I come here to criticize it.

Did you find this review helpful?Recently purchased to replace another APC that broke, the second in a row, so as you can understand it was necessary to change brands. Unfortunately, since it was purchased from Schneider, it is not the APC we knew. Regarding their service, which some speak highly of, when they are nearby, they can help, but when I called them just to see what could be wrong, they immediately hung up on me without even saying hello. So, goodbye from me. For now, I am satisfied, let's highlight the differences and advantages.
First of all, Eaton was preferred because it carries the name of MGE, for those who remember it, and because it is one of the largest manufacturers in the field in America. The 5S series was preferred over the Ellipse Pro because the Ellipse Pro has a fan that constantly rotates and I wanted it to be silent. It does not have a display, but personally, I was not interested as I can see its status from anywhere through NUT.
The construction is very good, a sturdy metal body, not plastic like the APC. Four IEC ports on the battery and another four only with the AVR. I did not connect a telephone line, I am not interested. The USB port worked perfectly on a Synology DS1821+. The front cover opens easily and the batteries are easily replaceable.
The batteries are now two regular 12V/9Ah batteries without any strange connectors or other smart features like the APC. This means that when their lifespan is over and they need replacement, you can easily go to a store and get two CSB HR1234W or two Yuasa NPW45-12 batteries, which are excellent, for about 30€ each without a cap.
In terms of performance, it is excellent for now. With a load of 132W, I have about 45 minutes of autonomy. It has two Synology NAS, two switches, a router, a computer, and a 3D printer connected to it. What impressed me a lot and the APC did not have is the output voltage correction. No matter what input I have, and since I am close to a transformer, I usually have 234-236V, the output is ALWAYS 230V! This means that it continuously corrects the voltage, something that the APC did not do within the nominal margin (it worked normally during large fluctuations), and it simply means that its AVR works impeccably.
Finally, it should be mentioned that it has an automatic self-test function of the battery every week, so you won't be left in the dark when their lifespan is over. I highly recommend it 100%.
