I bought it to charge devices with a USB-C to USB-A port, and it works perfectly for that. It can also be used for data transfer, but please note that it only supports USB2 speeds (480mbits) and NOT USB3 speeds. I deduct one star because it is not clear in the product description, although it is clearly stated on the packaging. Overall, it is a good product as long as you don't intend to use it for data transfer at USB3 speeds.
