Description

The young d'Artagnan leaves his humble home in Gascony behind and sets out to make his dream come true: to go to Paris and become a musketeer in the service of King Louis XIII. There, he meets the three bravest musketeers of the Court, Athos, Porthos, and Aramis, and they become friends. However, things get complicated as the intrigues of Cardinal Richelieu, Count Rochefort, and Milady de Winter against the Queen of France and the Duke of Buckingham, who have a secret relationship, flourish in 17th century Paris. The four musketeers take on the task of protecting their queen's honor and defending the kingdom with one motto: "all for one and one for all." The Three Musketeers is one of the most famous works of Alexandre Dumas, perhaps the most widely read, thus constituting a timeless, classic treasure of world literature.
