However, things get complicated as the intrigues of Cardinal Richelieu, Count Rochefort, and Milady de Winter against the Queen of France and the Duke of Buckingham, who have a secret relationship, flourish in 17th century Paris. The four musketeers take on the task of protecting their queen's honor and defending the kingdom with one motto: "all for one and one for all."
