Fiberglass frame

The frame made of fiberglass is a common choice for the construction of camping tents. It is a lightweight and durable material, made from fiberglass fibers that are usually coated with polyester to protect them from water and moisture.

Fiberglass is flexible, allowing the frame to be lightweight and bendable to support the tent fabric.

What does the feature Polyester 190T mean?

It is an indicator for comparing the durability of two fabrics made from the same material

T means Thread which is fiber, and the number reveals the sum of the vertical and horizontal fibers in a square inch of fabric (see photo). The larger the Thread, the denser the weave and the greater the durability of the fabric.

What does the waterproof rating on camping tents indicate?

The waterproofing of a tent indicates how much water its outer fabric can repel. It is measured in millimeters (mm) and refers to how many millimeters of a vertical water column (and thus pressure) a square centimeter of fabric can withstand without being penetrated by water.

The higher the degree of waterproofing, the less breathable the fabric is, and thus the warmer the tent. Common waterproofing values range from 500mm to 10000mm. Theoretically, any fabric with waterproofing >1000mm is considered waterproof. For example, a summer tent may have waterproofing from 500 to 1500mm.

    The tent was purchased in the winter of 2023 for €30 including shipping... It is used in the summer with a regular mattress.. For more details, see the review in the larger one (4-person).. I have to say that its mosquito net literally saved me.. Nothing gets through.. It is definitely worth the money and more.. Don't buy Chinese ones for €20, they are garbage compared to this one..
