Owner here for 1 year, never disappointed me! I completed all my pilot training with this and it helped me incredibly. The only negative thing I have to mention is the external temperature sensor. Because it is located almost at the back of the watch and very close to the skin, it shows a higher temperature than it should. Of course, if you take it off in 10 minutes, it will show you the actual ambient temperature. Value for Money! From me, it's a YES!
After almost 10 years of owning this particular product, and using it for about 5 years, I came to the conclusion that the 340 I had spent was money thrown out the window. The straps lasted a maximum of 6 months. The battery lasted 9-12 months. Scratches appeared with the slightest touch, as well as marks on the so-called crystal. The light stopped working at 2.5 years. Now I simply have it on my desk, to remind me of my mistake.
I have it for 2+ years now, bought it for 130 which I found to be a very good deal brand new. Battery needs replacement once a year, strap lasts less, I would say about 10 months, the bezel really needs attention. For the use I make, it is excellent for everyday wear, running, gym. Never in water or extreme activities, battery change by myself, as for the strap, guys from AliExpress you get it for free and they last exactly the same, not worth paying 40 and more.
Very good watch, good quality materials, after hard use it still holds up and I have no problems with what others have mentioned
I have bought it for years from abroad. I have changed the lights in its use. Two downsides: the top rim has started to fade, the black is coming off. Two, bad. The buttons, especially the central and upper right ones, remain stuck without easy reset, resulting in battery drain if you don't notice it
I had a Suunto for activities. I wore it until one point it went crazy. It will need a battery, I thought. I didn't hit it, I didn't press it, nothing. I took it to the dealership and they told me it can't be repaired. The company has discontinued it and doesn't produce spare parts. Nothing. Suddenly it's just garbage. Know that as soon as some time passes, you go for another one. BE CAREFUL!
Very good overall. The only issue it has is with the thermometer, which has a deviation of 3-4 degrees.
For now, everything is fine. Time will tell. With a leather strap, it can be worn even at a professional appointment!
For its time, it was a simple good watch... Measurements not accurate.. Temperature will show accurately only after it is taken off the wrist and a few minutes pass.. Constant calibration is needed to be sure about the accurate altitude.. And changing the battery is a hassle with waterproofing, etc.. Definitely expensive for its time and definitely much better options have come out nowadays with ten times the features.. I had it and I gave it away for the later Suunto models.. Think about it seriously.. I do not recommend it.
I have the watch for 2 days. Its strap seems sensitive, the screen is readable, at night you need its light. The measurements are accurate except for the temperature where you have to take it off your hand and leave it for 10 to 15 minutes. Overall, it seems very good but I will come back later with more information after I have worked with it!
I bought the watch from eBay. It looks beautiful in the photos, but up close it's not as much.
The strap wears out quickly and looks bad.
Its measurements are not accurate.
The button with the light broke in 2 months. After a while, it started working a little, but then died again.
Overall, it's not worth its money. Luckily, I sold it easily and saved myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have had this watch for many years.. The quality-price ratio is very good.. Especially at the current price of 200.. The only flaw is the strap.. I have changed it 4 out of 5 years.. Have the desire to buy.. They range from 40 to 80 euros.
After 1.5 years, the battery (they told me it was the capacitor) broke and they asked me for 180 euros. I made a wrong choice, don't make the same mistake.
Do I recommend it to Skroutz friends?
Don't buy it because you will regret spending your euros
Before the year ended, I needed to change the battery. The strap got worn out very early, resulting in it breaking, and when I went to replace it, the price was terrifying. The altimeter measurements are tragic as it requires frequent calibration, and as for the thermometer, it takes too long to reach the correct temperature from the moment you take it out of your hand. As for the service from the dealership in Greece, I don't even want to discuss it, it's simply tragic. I got the battery and the flange kit from abroad and changed it myself because the amount they were asking to replace it was simply ridiculous. In simple words, no, the price does not reflect its true value... its quality is inferior to its price.
1. The bezel gets easily marked.
2. The altimeter and thermometer show incorrect measurements. The altimeter needs frequent calibration and the thermometer requires you to take the watch off your wrist for at least 20 minutes for an accurate reading.
3. Don't be afraid of water, I took it scuba diving to 31 meters without any problems, and I even tried pressing the buttons at around 20 meters depth. Just make sure to rinse it with fresh water afterwards, as they might feel a bit sticky when pressed.
The depth gauge measures up to 12 meters.
4. I have replaced the battery twice myself. They last about 9 months without any further waterproofing.
So, this watch does a little bit of everything. It doesn't excel in any particular area. If you want something excellent for diving, go for the d4i, and for trekking, maybe consider the fenix from the same company
+++ Reliability of Suunto, very good in measurements.
--- Expensive
For the money it costs and what it offers, I believe it is too much, but now to have paid for a watch worth 200 euros and to only have waterproofing: 3 e is a bit... Tragic
