With an open toilet, you don't smell anything even if you don't deal with the toilet for 24 hours. I took off two stars because more than half the time it turns into sludge instead of sticking at the bottom of the toilet, and then you have to scrape the bottom (which creates a breeding ground for bacteria) and it takes a lot of time to make sure you have actually removed the useless pieces of sand.

I was using Ever Clean Fast Acting Odour Control. I saw a message from a friend in the comments speaking highly of Reflex with Activated Carbon and I decided to give it a try. Well, indeed Reflex is better (and cheaper). If you don't mind that it's Turkish, then get it with your eyes closed. Even if the feces remain uncovered, they don't smell at all. The difference from Ever Clean is so great that I thought the reason was a new filter I put in the toilet. During toilet cleaning, it became clear that the reason was the litter - even with an open toilet, the smell was minimal. It is not scented, which is not necessarily positive, it depends on personal taste. The only negative is that it raises a cloud of dust when sifting, so it requires much more attention when sifting with a small distance from the surface, and thus cleaning takes a little more time. Try it, you won't regret it.
