I have it in the car to connect my phone. So far so good, it hasn't shown the slightest problem for about a year that I've had it.
I got it because I needed my USB A stick to play on the car's USB C without connecting to my phone.
It does what it promises! I am a owner of a MacBook, iPad, and iPhone so everything works and combines perfectly!
Excellent adapter. I connected it with a fast USB stick, specifically the: USB Flash Drive Sandisk Ultra Fit - 128GB - USB 3.1 on one side and on the other side to the iPhone 15 plus, and it plays high-quality mp3s as well as mp4 movies in 720p quality without straining the phone. Of course, the same applies to photo albums. For these reasons, I got it, and to avoid loading the phone with unnecessary GBs, it is the best for me.
Simple, easy to transport, and does the job perfectly.
I bought it for 2 reasons:
1. I got a laptop that has USB-C ports instead of USB 3 and I have several devices that have USB cables
2. I want to use a flash drive to transfer information to mobile phones and tablets with a USB-C port
So far, I have only used it on a laptop and a Xiaomi mobile phone and it worked fine on both. It is convenient for charging devices, for transferring data to and from storage devices or between devices, I tried it with a USB hub and it worked fine... I even tried it with a mouse and a controller.
The only problem I noticed was with my flash drive, it is a bit slow and takes a long time to load anything (not just data transfer), but I suspect that the flash drive is to blame because with other devices it is very fast.
I have bought other products from the company and I will say with some hesitation the first time because I didn't know it and it is too cheap, but so far I am satisfied with everything and I trust it easily as a choice
Just, but just received it for my tablet. I connected it to my phone and it opens the flash drive immediately!
Edit: I am raising the rating from 4 to 5 stars for now. I am still not sure about the amount of current it allows to pass. Regarding charging with Xiaomi, the power is likely reduced because when the adapter is connected, the configuration channel of the type-c port is lost.
First evaluation:
Nice and quality port conversion stick. It is superspeed 10 and it clearly states it. It can be used to connect a storage stick to a mobile phone with usb on-the-go technology or convert a superspeed 10 port on the back of a computer unit.
-1 star for the following reason:
What it doesn't clearly emphasize, and neither does the Baseus website, is that it has data transfer orientation. In charging, no matter which connection I tried, it didn't go above 15W (...see edit).
For example, in combination with other Baseus and Xiaomi cables, as soon as I placed the adapter in line, the power dropped from 27W to 15W (...see edit).
For charging, you should look for other adapters that may be USB 2.0 but allow 5A and have charging orientation (...see edit).
