The fan has scales from 1 to 26. As another friend has written in the comments, it is really quiet up to 8. From 9 and above, the difference in air intensity between 8 and 9 is very large.
Today I received it and slept in a bedroom with closed doors and windows, which had 28 degrees with the fan at 10, and the noise didn't bother me, nor did I sweat, and I am generally someone who sweats easily.
Positive:
The LCD screen is bright and after 30 minutes, it turns off, so it doesn't bother in the dark.
It has all the functions on the fan itself, so you can do everything without a remote control.
It has a button to not make a beep every time you change a setting.
Right-left movement with a button and from the remote control.
It shows sturdy construction and has no wobbles even on the highest scale. (time will tell if something happens, I will come back)
Very easy assembly.
Neutral:
The natural flow function did not impress me, nor did the night mode.
Negatives:
Every time you turn it off, it loses all the settings.
The remote control has hard buttons, you almost have to look at the front side of the fan. Also, it takes a small round battery and not AA or AAA, which you usually have somewhere in the house when they run out.
It does not have an up-down adjustment with a button, you can only move the fan head with your hand.
If someone wants a quiet fan with satisfactory airflow, it is worth the money. If they didn't need to go to two rooms, for this amount of money, around 100€, I would consider a ceiling fan
It worked for one summer and then it broke in June. It just stopped spinning where it was working, while the screen and what it does left and right works. For 80+ € it is definitely not worth it, I was disappointed.
It has good build quality, it is powerful and quiet. It has excessively many speeds, of which the first 7-8 are for sleeping. At these speeds, it is barely audible, and the airflow is low. Just what you need for sleep when you simply want a light breeze. From there on, the airflow increases but so does the noise without being annoying. The remote control is small and flimsy, but it does its job just fine. Highly recommended.
The best fan choice for the bedroom.
What I liked:
- the silent operation at low speeds
- the DC motor and the low WATT consumption compared to other fans, without losing power when selecting high speeds
- the beautiful and mainly quality construction, always in comparison to what you find today on the market (only some fans over 30 years old had superior materials)
- the presence of a switch on the remote control that disables the annoying beep-beep sound when changing settings (important so as not to disturb your partner who is sleeping with you)
- the color and clarity of the digital displays (which turn off after a few seconds, for those who are bothered by lights in the bedroom)
What I didn't like:
- The 26 speeds are excessive (except for 9 and 19, where you actually feel a difference, the other intermediate speeds give negligible differences between them), so with 10-12 speeds there would be the same usefulness and you would avoid the hassle
- although practical to the touch and in the completeness of its functions, the remote control is very small and can easily be lost if it falls into the bedding and crevices... :)
- the fact that the rotation angle is not adjustable (I would like it to rotate in a tighter range of angle left-right, e.g., at 45 instead of 90 degrees). WARNING: don't take this into account, because I haven't found any fan on the market that has this capability, I just mention it because it strikes me that no manufacturer has thought to implement it!
26 air levels neither 1 nor 3.. each step is a little boost of air.. ideal for sleeping too because with common fans the 1st step, besides making a little noise for the night, also has strong airflow which might make you cold at night or wake up stiff in the morning.. while with this one it's just right.. you set it from 1-8 exactly how you want it depending on how warm the night is and you're golden... from the 9th level and above it starts to make some noise and personally I only use it during the day...
Before this one, I had bought another floor fan from a well-known brand at the same price, which only had three speed settings for the fan and a button for "quiet." Well, even in "quiet," I didn't have silence; the airflow was so strong that I wanted to lower it, but such an option didn't exist, since the fan was supposed to be operating at the lowest setting. With the Rohnson R-8600, these problems do not exist. The 26 settings for the fan speed are a huge advantage. Up to speed 8, you don't realize that a fan is operating in the room, while at speed 9, where the airflow is significantly stronger, a slight breeze can be heard. As the speed increases (and the airflow becomes more intense), this breeze becomes more noticeable, but within acceptable limits, always in proportion to the intensity of airflow it provides. Recently, when it's not too hot, I use it at speeds 4 and 5 and enjoy a light breeze, as if I were on the terrace on a cool afternoon. I haven't encountered any quality issues so far, and the presence of a remote control makes using the device easier (it takes a button battery, type CR2025 Lithium 3V). In conclusion, I'm considering giving away the previous fan and buying a second Rohnson R-8600 to have one in the bedroom and one in the office.
I bought two of this specific product and one after a month started making noise when it turned. I sent it to the service in Athens, and from there they took it out for replacement after two months of waiting for them to send me a new one because they didn't have it. They sent me the same fan again. When I spoke with the importing company, they arranged to send me another one, and after three days, I received another fan which was not new and this time made noise in the motor. After contacting the company again, they suggested I change the room where I use it so I wouldn't notice the noise. God help me, if it breaks, you will never get anywhere with this company again
Very satisfied so far! Easy to use and assemble, good packaging and delivery method! It remains to be seen the durability over time and with several hours of use.
I didn't like its price. As an object, it is amazing. Silent up to 10, which produces a lot of air. It reaches up to 30 in power and logically at 30 it generates a tornado
very good, I got it for myself but it ended up being my wife's. Below 10 intensity you really can't hear it, and above that you hear depending on the wind. No one hears the motor or the rotation. Since the day of delivery, it has not stopped working, meaning almost 2 months (60 days) continuously, it has not presented any problems.
Up to 8 it is completely silent, and then the noise increases suddenly... overall, it is less good than the very good reviews here suggest... and somewhat difficult to assemble, the instructions are a bit confusing... overall, I would not buy it again...
It looks very good but its value will show over time. The previous one I had broke in two years. We will see. It has a nice design and is almost silent.
I, who can't stand the heat, nor do I want a fan blowing on me to the point of feeling cold, but mainly I don't want it to make noise, have found my salvation.
You leave it two meters next to the couch or the bed on the 8th speed without it being heard, and it's like having the windows open with a breeze coming to cool you down.
Even when you want it to cover a larger space and you place it further away but at a higher setting, I can say that the noise is very low compared to most fans on the market, and the airflow is abundant for everyone.
It has a remote control, a timer, and 180-degree rotation if I'm not mistaken.
Very good, quiet at low speeds and not particularly noisy at high speeds. It has already been working for two summers full-time in a space without air conditioning and seems quite reliable. If I could have one more feature, it would be to be able to reduce the rotation angle in some way (I don't know if there is even a fan that does this)
It has so many settings that we have it at 6 in the evening and we are cold (it goes up to 20). Silent. It also has an option on the control to have no sound from the buttons when you press them to change speed, etc. Very good, I highly recommend it
Powerful, sturdy, with very smooth movement left - right
26 speeds, digital
Absolutely satisfied
After 15 it sounds a bit but it is perfectly normal since it is very powerful.
Maybe it could be 10-15 € cheaper
Although it was my first purchase of a fan, it was exactly what I needed. It has speed levels for the fan. Up to level 10, it is quiet but also weak in terms of performance compared to levels 13-14. At a distance of 50cm from the bed and for the night, it is perfect!
It is silent up to 8. It reaches up to 26. It has 3 different functions: continuous airflow, adjustable and the classic 1-2-3. Very good for its price. The remote control doesn't hold very well. Its connection is a bit lost, it needs to be centered exactly.
Without many words, it is very powerful for a 28W burner, and you can have it at setting 8 (which is completely silent), to sleep peacefully and cool at night.
UPDATE:
WARNING. I don't know if ours happened to be defective or if they are all like this, but the ring can be easily removed with a little pressure, even if the screw is in place, which is of course dangerous, especially if you have children. It shouldn't unclip so easily. For me, it's a design flaw.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The first impressions after a week of use are very good.
Quite stylish and the assembly is relatively easy, (I only had a little trouble snapping the ring in place).
I find it quiet, because so far the motor or its plastics do not make noise from vibrations. Of course, the faster you increase the speed, the noise from the air produced is unavoidable, but it doesn't bother us. In the midst of a heatwave, we are using it on the 14th speed and we have it blowing directly on us.
Two minor drawbacks:
1. It doesn't remember the last settings. Not particularly important, just somewhat annoying because every time you turn it on, you have to press the button 14 times to get to the desired speed.
2. WHY is the remote SO SMALL? We are sure we will lose it at some point. Generally, I don't understand this trend for such tiny remotes.
In the heat and with a temperature of 31C in the room, don't expect it to cool you down, but for those who don't want air conditioning in the bedroom and don't mind having it blowing in their faces, it's just fine.
It could, however, be cheaper..
Good and beautiful fan. As other reviewers mention, it is quiet up to level 8. From there on, the noise gradually increases. However, it remains a fan that is useful within certain temperature limits. For days with heatwaves in Athens, like today, July 12th, it simply blows hot air. In this case, the air conditioner is the only solution and the fan is used to manage the air from the air conditioner in all rooms of the house. It is of good quality but with a slightly high price, 90€.
Excellent fan! As almost everyone has written, on levels 1 to 8 it is completely silent!!! When you want peace and a light breeze to cool you down, here you are!! 28w wow. I have never put it above 14. Excellent once again, well done Rohnson very good products whatever I have bought!!
Easy to assemble, lightweight, powerful in terms of the airflow it delivers, quiet. The remote control is very user-friendly with many functions and settings.
Indeed, it is really quiet up to 8, with a fan as needed to sleep in the bedroom without bothering you!!!
Several functions!!!
Since I have only been using it for 5 hours, I will come back for any issues.
As for the controller that many people mention, it is great, small and convenient!!!
Excellent fan! As others have mentioned, on levels 1-8 it is completely silent but with a small airflow, mainly for use in the bedroom when you want quietness and a gentle breeze to cool you down. On levels 9-16, it has good airflow but starts to produce some small/medium noise, which is not bothersome in any case. The noise is related to the faster movement of the air rather than the motor or some vibrations. On levels 17-26, the airflow increases but the decibels also increase. Still, it remains at acceptable levels, although this is subjective. The fan's motor is DC technology, which has lower power consumption, less noise, and smaller size/weight compared to common motors. The finish of the plastic parts of the fan is a beautiful glossy black, and its overall weight is reasonable. It has enough weight to be stable. However, it can be easily moved from room to room, which my wife particularly appreciated. The buttons on the fan's body are of the electronic type and perform the main functions: on/off, rotation, airflow intensity, and timer. There is also a small remote control for remote operation and a few more functions. After some changes in the settings, the LED screen turns off to avoid being bothersome. Features I would like to see improved: 1. Better quality remote control with greater range. 2. Possibly fewer levels, maybe up to 16. 3. When it starts, it should remember the last settings so that you don't have to adjust it again
Until 8, you can't hear it at all, if you set it to 9<, it sounds very loud (it sounds like those big fans they have in cafes). If you mainly want it for sleep, it is very good
